Didn't have allot of money to buy an expensive phone, but I still wanted a good upgrade from my old phone, and the MotoG7 Play does not disappoint! Since the day I've got it, it's probably the best phone for a low price budget, obviously I might upgrade but that might be waaaaaaay later.

I like the G7 play the best due to then notch on the top and fact that you have to swipe up to close app . Like the IPhone X

My son's ZTE has a sub 1080p screen and 2 gig of ram and I paid $39 for it at Dollar General. He's 8 years old.

G7 line is a disappointment of major proportion. Mediocre processor, large notch, small notch, this one's bigger that one's smaller, all different colors and builds, single camera, dual camera, umm did we just grab what was left on the shelf and throw it together? Sub 1080p screen resolution and 2gig of ram is unacceptable on any phone this day and age. A multimillion dollar company producing junk like this is pathetic.

I have the G6 play with a 4000 mAh battery and it lasts all day, I'm curious to see how this new battery will fare.

I Love my Moto Phones, Have supported the company for years, Have had the Moto G, G6, Moto Z2 Force, and now my Moto G7 arrives on the 3/7. Really looking forward to it and the new features.

I don’t know why people keep referencing Indian and Chinese phones in these comments sections. Do they not realize those phones don’t work in the US? Moto is pretty much the only best budget friendly phones you can get here that work properly.

On Motorola's website it says that the G7 supports up to 128gb sd card whereas the others can take up to 512GB. Are you able to get a concrete answer from Motorola?

As its owned by lenovo they promise updates and never provide them and then all the mentions about the updates disappear magically from their website.
Get something android one instead.

I just bought a G5 Plus because it seems to be the only not-gigantic budget phone with decent specs. I hate how big phones have become. I don't want anything bigger than 5.2 inches.

I just got a g6 and i am quite fine not having waited for these. G6 was 199 on amazon prime, and the g7play does not look at all like it will match up. Very minimal jump in specs over the generation it seems. And everyone that is commenting about all the fancy phones out of China with crazy specs for the price, they dont work on Verizon networks so its moot for a good chunk of US consumers. Biggest selling point of moto phones atm is their global use.

got a used galaxy s9 for $350 and do not regret it at all.

Motos are seriously the best phones I have owned. I've had my Moto x4 for about a year and a half and it hasn't slowed down at all (cough cough y'all iPhoneys). Super bummed the G7 plus won't be released in the US!
