Literally the only criticism I have of the finished product because it looks absolutely beautiful you did a great job is that you shouldn't have made the strap of fixed-length because most women usually like to have an adjustable strap so that they can make it fit them. If this is not something that is for sale and it's for your wife for someone that you know then chances are it doesn't matter but if it's for sale that's something to keep in mind.🙂👍✌️

You shouldn't use a metal hammer on your pricking irons or any of your tools like that🤷‍♂️👍✌️

Don't really understand why you take the time to use a pricking iron to make your stitching holes only to go behind and use a drill afterwards seems like time wasted

One thing I wouldn't have done was I wouldn't have just used solder when making those brass rings I would have braised welded it rather than use solder it's much too weak if you had Braise welded it it would have been been a nice solid ring of brass nice and strong and the color would have been sold just one color then. 🙂👍✌️

You definitely have some unusual methods of doing things but as long as it gets the job done just shows that you don't always need the exact tool to do nice work. Anyways nice job.🙂👍✌️

You know if you had just drilled a hole in the centre of the wood alone the side just outside of the line you wanted to cut you didn't have to cut into the wood from the edge of the wood and you wouldn't have used as much wood.🤷‍♂️👍✌️

Where do you get leather and how much? I want to get into leather working. I have many ideas. I can't find a belt souchle that is how I want one.

Ive been working with leather for 30 yrs and these videos are horrible. He does way to many steps and I could do this in half the time it takes him.
First he doesnt explain anything for the beginner watching for the first time. Like how or why. Second, best thing to do before gluing the side gussets on is to prepunch your stitching holes, then glue them on and using the same stitching fork to punch the holes again through the second piece. Then stitch it together that way itll hold together better before you try to cut off any excess leather and sand the edges,then you edge trim the leather. That way it wont move on you as you do for in all my years there are times you will run into a spot where the glue didnt adhere and it may move on you while you try to cut off the excess and sand it. But if you stitch first then you know for certain it wont move on you. Thus eliminating having to drill the holes making more work for yourself.
Thirdly, he used his fingers to spread the black edge cote on the edge seam with his fingers. This is messy and you tend to wrap around your finger over the edge applying more than you needed. Either use a wool dauber lighty dampened or a q-tip to apply the edge cote.
Usually I can get about 1/2 or 3/4s the way thru his videos before I turn it off or leave comments. He is not the best to watch for anyone especially beginners who have no idea what they are doing and doesnt explain anything. Hes using the same techniques you can learn from reading a book published since the 60s titled The Art of Making Leather by Al Stohlman. Youd be better off reading those than try to watch one of these videos.
