Hehe I’m just picturing dialogue of them both walking up and looking down at them and as they see there subjects approaching they talk to one another nightmare moon looking at celestia but quickly noticing something out of place was her mane and her eyes sharper more fierce but calculating knowing eyes the kind that can and will turn your closest friends into your enemies with a few words a all consuming fire that burns brighter higher and stronger till there’s nothing left but embers and ash if that. To top it all off a silver tongue telling you sweet lies and poisoning you at the same time
But here’s the dialogue
Daybreaker: hello nightmare been a while hasn’t it? Since we’ve last talked. You know if you’d had simply waited and not gone off we’d be ruling undisputed right now but no matter dear sister(keep in mind this would more than likely been a condescending almost mocking voice) we have all the time in the world as the elements are dispatched.

Unable to believe it would be that easy. Daybreaker laughs a maniacally mad sound reverberating around the air. Ah ever the funny one moony yes
It’s was a simple matter I simply killed miss sparkle and her little friends celestia had unknowingly made my job very easy all we have to do is simply do nothing well for me anyway

This paints a picture in my head where Celestia and Luna are in a war with the rest of Equestria and by the time they're defeated the leader of the war (whose colors are like the "dawn") hovers over them. Then the two former princesses bow to her to signify being "bound" because they cant be trusted after betraying their subjects

I don't really see scorching heat and long night getting along this well and it's more likely there would be a civil war, like in EaW HoI4 mod, but this would certainly be an interesting and cursed timeline.

I’ve been playing a bunch of Equestria at war lately, and this definitely sounds like the Equestrian Civil War theme if it’s still not settled by the time the Dread League starts their rampage… both of the sisters put up a white peace to stop the hoards of the undead with the reason that the other MUST fall by their hands only.

I feel like there's not enough attention on the first verse. More specifically, on Lunar passing the song to Solar with a brief moment of unity as she mentions the sun. The transition gives me chills.
