What about for a logitech mechanical keyboard that has soldered on switches? What can be done to improve the keys? Can I still lube it? Maybe jelly tape?

Can I lube the stablizers of my blue swith keyboard? Not the switches self, but only the stabilizers of my keyboard? And which lube is the best for that? Is the krytox xht-bdz good for that? (since it is thick)

For anyone still watching this amazing guide, I have a tip that is probably going to sound like the most absurd thing you've ever heard. To start, make sure all of your switches are lubed. A lot of the time, if a switch is not lubed, it will sound scratchy and make the entire stabilizer sound like it is rattling. Secondly, and this is the crazy part, if a stabilizer is rattling, and no amount of lube will fix it, switch the switch with another from a different key. Once again, I know it sounds ridiculous, but it may work.

Where can I get a syringe like that in Canada, would a generic dollar store have it?
I only need to lube the stabs for my spacebar so a syringe would be convenient but I don't know where to source just one. Online has them but only in packs of 10 minimum.

I just built my first keyboard! As a novice, I was really happy with the results for the most part-- but my spacebar sounds awful. I was super confused because the smaller stabalizers on the board sound great. I was kind of bummed and not sure what to do about the space bar. After watching this video, I was able to diagnose and address the problem. This was very easy to understand and also info that is pertinent but not included in other tutorials. Thank you so much!! (My keyboard is a freebird60 with melonmilk tactile switches, durok v2 stabilizers (came with the fb60 base kit, and a cherry profile PBT keycaps I snagged off Etsy).

Will I ever use the information given in this video? No.
So will I stop the video and move on about my day? Also no.
That's the mark of a great tutorial right there, sir. I'm learning how to do things I'll never do. Cheers.

Krytox is probably fine for your stabilisers, but using teflon insulator on the actual switch parts is insane. Get some fader lube ffs, its the stuff actually made for control lubrication. & get some lithium grease/fader grease while ur at it

Mine has been a keyboard experience of much shame. I can't even guess myself what it must be to not go mentally insane when installing stabilizers.

Stabilizer installation is one of the most frustrating experiences known to man. First, you gotta do all of your own research on which type of lube to use on the wires and which type to use on the housing. Some beginners straight up use the same type of lube on both the housing and wires, and end up with their stabilizers either too thick or too thin. Afterwards, you mustn't fall into the trap of letting PE foam stay under your stabilizer stems, which keyboard manufacturers do not cut off for you nor instruct you to cut them off yourself and you'll end up getting mushy stabilizers, not even knowing the cause. Then, when you find yourself overlubing or underlubing your wires, you literally have to disassemble and reassemble your keyboard every time if you don't have a syringe. A syringe may not even help you in this situation as the lube is too thick to be sucked upwards. Before you know it, you get lube everywhere on your hands and your pcb. Frustration overwhelms and you lose your patience. When you've gone insane after disassembling and reassembling your keyboard so many times as well as being overwhelmed by fatigue, you no longer try to insert the lubed stabilizer wire into the housing meticulously but instead with crudeness and wrath, causing lube to be scraped off onto the sides of the stem and thus making the lube uneven. And you sit there and wonder why your stabilizers are still producing that rattling din that crawls under your skin even when you've put in so much lube into the stabilizer. Now look at yourself. Your keyboard is covered with lube, which is insoluble in water so cleaning that up would require alcohol and not just with simple soap and water. You've spent so much effort, time and money into this just for all of it to be in vain. You feel nauseous and weary. You want to start over, but you can't because water does not clean off the hydrophobic lube inside the housing. The sound of stabilizer rattle echoes throughout my brain, torturing me even in my dreams. God, why was I even born? Why must I endure such torment?

I am currently writing this in a mental hospital. Typing this comment sent me in a state of delirium due to my PTSD that they diagnosed me with. Despite being an adolescent, my hair had turned grey and my skin had gone wrinkled due to the stress of lubing stabilizers. My parents treat me no longer as a human but as of a handicap and a being of inferior intellect. They disowned me and forced me to move to the countryside where I will spend the rest of my miserable life contemplating my regrets of getting into the hobby. All of this would have never happened of I didn't dive into the damned rabbit hole of mechanical keyboards.

the last paragraph was a joke

I am building a Monsgeek M2 for the first time. I am testing keys with stabilizers and one key stays down when I depress it. I thought it was over lubed, so I dissembled it, wiped it down, and relubed. It is still sticking down when I depress this particular key. Any advice?

Does anyone know why my stabilizers don't go up? I'm using the akko 5075S stabilizers that come with the keyboard and i was going to lube it a bit more because they put very little lube in the stab but now it won't go up. Some of them go up, and some of them don't. And no, it's not overlubed.
