Idiot!
ОтветитьActually here in America due to the pilot shortage you don’t need a degree but a degree would help
ОтветитьCollege degrees aren't required at majors anymore
ОтветитьThis entire video presents such a tone deaf perspective. It’s total garbage and I will never watch anything from this idiot ever again.
ОтветитьIt's called risk and reward
ОтветитьIs 200k/yr a lot?
Ответитьnot in canada lol
ОтветитьAs a student pilot who has interviewed many airline pilots, there is so much false information in this video.
ОтветитьIma try to become a pilot one day....
ОтветитьWorth every penny
ОтветитьThe real question is, who are the idiots that believe half the shit these “tiktok experts” say? If you were the one responsible for the lives of many passengers, wouldn’t you want to be paid in a manner that reflects such a job?
ОтветитьYes. Safety is important a great pilot can save your life.
ОтветитьSo much false information. 4 year degree isn't required anywhere but FedEx (who obviously isnt hiring), you don't have to go to a "3 year flight program". I did part 61 0-CFII for less than 50k while working full time in less than 2 years. Most lineholders fly 100+ hours a month. It's all fun and games until the technology flying the plane breaks and the years of training and experience becomes required.
90%+ of the career track students I had never even finished private once they figured out how much studying is required and long it was going to take to get to 1500 hours.
The 4 year college degree thing is pretty much not required anymore. There lots of us at major airlines without a 4 year degree who have been hired in the past 7 years or so.
Ответить80 hours of flying equates to 360 hours away from home
ОтветитьThey deserve a higher salary
ОтветитьSure we do
ОтветитьIf they wont pay the pilot enough he might just crash the plane making the airline look bad
ОтветитьTax left the chat 💀🔱
ОтветитьWrong assumptions…this maybe valid for the US but not abroad where it is quiet lower than that…among also some stereotype in the video…I know I am one of them ! 🤷🏼♂️
ОтветитьI flew professionally for 25 years as a corporate and charter pilot. I quit in 2012. It was my childhood dream. The reality is when you divide the hours away from home by your hourly salary, you make more st Mc Donald’s. I was always on call, flying all hours of the day or night, enduring jet lag on a continual basis and chronically fatigued. I have not set foot on any airplane since the day I left, and have no intention of ever doing so. For those of you contemplating a career as a pilot, I would say switch the medication you are taking. It is a horrible career choice.
ОтветитьHahahaha. This guy has no idea.
In addition, a massive pilot shortage is what drives up the price. The same technical skills were needed over the last 20 years while there was a general over supply, and wages went down.
But yeah, heaps more involved that ‘letting the technology do the work’.
I know some pilots. The constant travel gets old fast.
ОтветитьThe job looks easy but it’s not, it’s very technical, you need a lot of experience and it can be very fatiguing. Sure we sit there but the airplane won’t get up in the air and fly thousands of miles without the two pilots up front. Also you’re gone at least multiple nights a month from family.
ОтветитьThere’s so much more that goes into it than what was mentioned. The pilots don’t just sit and “let the technology fly the plane itself.” The amount of hours spent planning every little detail before the flight, as well programming the system beforehand and actually still flying the plane for hours on end, constantly monitoring and using hundreds of different controls and systems, and they are still actively flying the plane nearly the entire time, with just some assistance from autopilot when airborne, not to mention the years and years of schooling and requirements and time and money and commitment in order to get to where they’re at, it requires a lot. The high wages isn’t due to the shortage, pilots have always made a lot due to everything that I just said. The shortage has definitely increased it significantly at the moment and for the next 10 years, but in general they’ve always made high wages pushing well past $200k easily, regardless of the shortage and yes it’s 100% deserved, as somebody who’s going through the program myself, it requires so much more than what everybody else sees.
ОтветитьOf course they deserve100% of there salary you try flying a plane and see if you can or understand the technology in how to fly it and see if you be taking rubbish
ОтветитьA bit of misinformation with this vid
ОтветитьRattatatatatatataatatttatatarattstataraata💀💀
Ответитьfirst they dont let the computer fly it self but only in cruise altitude they actually need to train for years to land and take off and know what to do in a emergency situation
ОтветитьI have friend flew for Continental airlines and didn't have a college degree. College degree is not needed but real flight time. There are flight schools that just concentrate only on flying you can be done in a year. You gotta have experience and start at the bottom then work your way up.
ОтветитьThe computers can only deal with the foreseen at best, they do not make decisions and they can NEVER deal with the unforeseen. Do a little homework and stop embarrassing yourself.
ОтветитьMy GOSH LEAVE PILOTS ALONE😡 YOU'RE JEALOUS
ОтветитьABSOLUTE BULSHIT!!!!!
Ответитьok so u say that they let technolagy take over and travel fro free and then u say they have a massive responsabilaty cause thing is they alwayse have to keep there eye on air trafic and they have to make sure nothing i going wrong if anyone wants to say something speek up and we can talk because when i coment things like this i get hate
ОтветитьThis guy's an IDIOT 😡 !! Yes the plane's can basically fly themselves BUT in an EMERGENCY when something goes WRONG 😮 !!
ОтветитьNo because they deserve at maximum 1-3m a year because there risking there own live and there making the passengers travel the world if they didn’t exist we couldn’t travel fast
ОтветитьWhen ur responsible for 300+ lives and even more on the ground which could mean more than 1000s of pep without a doubt they deserve id go as far as saying they should be paid millions
ОтветитьNo one deserves anything. The laws of labor supply and demand dictate the salary.
ОтветитьThis video is bullshit. Most pilots are not on 40k let alone 200k or 700k. Clown
ОтветитьAverage 200k? What planet are you on
ОтветитьIf I’m at an altitude of 35,000ft, I want someone well paid to be handling the aircraft.
ОтветитьWe make 250 000
ОтветитьThey work very hard
ОтветитьMy bro is rapping
ОтветитьNo, they don't deserve their salary.
THEY DESERVE TWICE THEIR CURRENT SALARY

Not true, in the UK you do not need a degree and it does not take 3 years. It takes 18 months!
