Before 8 months Intel launched i57400 which was defeated by ryzen and now it launched i3 most performable than i5 at cheaper price Intel sucks after 8 months they again launch g5460 which will be greater than i7 . For all Intel costumers 😅😂😋

You also did forget to point out in direct comparison during the conclusion part that cpu's cooler provided by Intel with i5-7400 sucks so with Intel you need to spend additional 30+ dollars more for cooler. The award for best vallue for your money goes to AMD. If Intel wants to remain competetive with AMD they need to lower their prices. If they don't do that only one situation happens nor even the dog will bark at Intel.

r5 1600 probably because of the cores/threads. but i wouldn't mind starting on the r3 1200 with a "high-end" board and then upgrading up to a 1800x or something lol

So wait... single core score is higher than the i5... multi core score is higher than the i5... and still loses in games. HOW THE FUCK DO GAMES USE THE CPU? At this point I'm gonna get a Celeron because single core and multi core scores are lower so I will get very high fps...

i now going to be running my main PC as Ryzen just waiting on fitting after missing delivery today as i was was in work of a Cooler Master MasterLiquid 240 , now my I7-6700K hardline custom fully waterlooped PC now gonna be my backup PC and going into my bedroom :)

I don't know what thermal paste you used on the 7400, but I have an i5 7500 with stock cooler and thermal paste, inside a case with only 1 exhaust and 1 intake, and ambient temperatures at around 27°C, and It reached 71°C after 30 minutes of prime95, so, yeah...

to be honest most people using locked i5 will not use a Z270 boards which means they stuck at 2133/2400Mhz ram, which means in this benchmark the i5 was getting a little bit of bump because of the high speed memory, in actuall world case where most people use H110 or b250 the i5 will perform even worse.

The 1080p tests with these CPUs combined with a 1080ti is rather stupid if you ask me. The benchmark numbers are not correct at all at that resolution as the 1080ti would yield much higher frames with a better paired CPU.

Interesting how when it comes to raw single/multithreaded performance (according to Cinebench anyways), the R3 is on top. Yet once the games come out, it for some reason still loses. Goes to show how 'adapted to Intel' all the game developers all due to AMD's silence for 5 years. Hopefully that changes. Since with the whole lineup, I feel there's still a bit of unused potential when it comes to the gaming side of things [:
And yea 1600, agree completely.. Which is why I bought one myself haha :p

Good comparison, you always pick affordable CPUs/GPUs to test which is nice.
But way do you hate grafs so much :-)...
It would be nice with the numbers shown on a easy to read graf. And maybe show how many % faster something is on average compared to its rival.

I remember the times when a locked CPU multiplier didn't prevent us from overclocking it, but somehow now-days all reviewers consider all locked multiplier CPUs as non-overclockable... But why? Have you forgotten about the base clock changing and adjusting the multiplier down to meet a desired clock? Also the memory multiplier needed to be adjusted, though I'm not sure it's that way now.

The R3 1200 is the best value if you pair it with a Gtx 1060 or lower. But if someone is willing to buy a Gtx 1070 or 1080 then at least the R5 1400 is required because the R3 1200 with these cards would work at more than 90% utilization in many games and may experience bottlenecks and frame drops.

Aye, with R5 and R3, current Skylake and KabyLake i5 and i3 basically lost their reason for existence

the question is more on how Coffee Lake's i5 and i3 is going to change that situation, given they also require new motherboard..
and how much are they going to be priced facing Ryzen's competition, given the current pricing Intel have for their i5 and i3.

Coffee Lake basically have to absolutely BLOW the current Kabylake version out of the water by sizable margin to justify their price if they intend to keep selling them at the same price as the existing lineup given the price Ryzen is being sold at.

It is interesting what's going to happen moving forward. The games suffer, compared to the Intel chips. That's going to change somewhat in the future, if AMD start selling as many chips as Intel. Then the tools for developing games will start to favour the Infinity Fabric concept. In fact, Intel are moving towards that sort of concept themselves. It's not going to be called Infinity Fabric, but the essential concepts are going to be very similar. Now once that arrives, the major game houses are going to be writing games from day #1 that will work with 32 cores and 64 threads and inter-core communication that looks more like TCP/IP than Token Ring from 1975. Once the game houses are working with tools that don't favour Intel, the game performance advantage will disappear.
The next interesting one, is that Intel have on-core graphics. AMD will do it too. At this time, SERIOUS gamers wouldn't use that stuff because it's crap. But you get on-chip graphics up to 40 or 50 fps at 1080, for most normal games, and serious gamers can go to hell! The rest of us will use it. The only thing anybody needs a graphics card for now, is gaming. Once those integrated GPUs get a little bit better, you're not even going to need that.
Then the one & only reason to keep building those GPU complexes, will be to power Artificial Intelligence. And they will. Don't expect nVidea or AMD Graphics to go away any time soon, but all that stuff will go straight to the data centre.
You're getting a little taste, a preview of that now. Graphics cards are good for crypto-mining... You can cry and you can grizzle and you can bitch, but there's more money in creating money than fragging zombies...

wait a minute, single core performance is good in 1300x, better than 7400. still low score in gaming, this proves that devs still dont improve this platforms gaming capability. and people whining about ryzens gaming performance all over the place. POOR FANBOYISM.
