Just a tip for anyone watching; a fish is more likely to survive swallowing a hook if you cut the line as close to its mouth as possible & release them rather than trying to dig the hook out. If a fish is undersized, it is still illegal to keep them even if they swallowed a hook regardless of if it was fatal or not. You aren't forced to keep/eat undersized just because they swallowed the hook. Just a small tidbit
