Samsung Galaxy A54 5G vs Samsung Galaxy A53 5G - Who Will Win?

The best phone is always the one someone spent their money on. For example if you bought an A52; it is without question much better than the A53 and A54.

I have the A53 5G for a year and love it. There is no need to upgrade for the next 4 years. Wireless charging shortens battery life; so I won't be needing that either.

I got the A54 from Walmart for black Friday for $130. 😊

Am I the only person who uses a phone case so the back finish of any smartphone is near irrelevant

I agree they should of but like a snapdragon chipset even a tech guy myself would want a snapdragon over an exyons but youre right a52s is still the winner of all a50 phone if anyone agrees to me

I wouldn't mind an A54 vs A52 comparison given the processors are more comparable than with the A53.

I just got the A53 a few days ago from an S9. Didn't want to drop a grand on a phone. The A53 does the job for me. Don't really use the fingerprint. I'm old school pass codes haha.

Ok, I may get alot of heat for asking, but A53/54 or motog5 stylus? Yeah, im guna look for video abd stats. Probably samsung since i want to get smartwatch with ecg.

Glass is a downgrade, making the screen smaller is a downgrade, changing the way the screen looks is a downgrade, the only thing I think is great is the "slight" increase in performance. I'll stay with my A53 5G for now....lol

Edit: Also, whats the point of the glass back with no wireless charging?

I'd prefer the A53 due to the wider and bigger screen, it's a shame they couldn't keep the same design for the A54.

Both are very similar capable phones. If you already have the A53 then carry on; if you’re upgrading from previous models then enjoy your new A54.

i thing it was easier for you and more pleasant for our ears if you call them A54 and A53 without always adding 5g.

Well I was looking to get the A53 from consumer cellular because I was wanting to get something better than the Motorola Stylus I was using. They were going for $449 but all of a sudden were out of stock. Then after a while the A54 shows up for $300 so I jumped on it. Very happy so far. Feels like a lot like the S8 plus I used to have...maybe better. Beautiful screen.

I got the A53 to test mid range my first time and honestly my S20FE was better. Its much faster

Regarding screen: According to Samsung, both phones have the same VIEWABLE area at 6.3" minus the camera space. I only mention it because I'd never thought about that myself

Happy with my a53. Will change it when there’s no more updates for its operating system. It’s concerning when downloaded apps can’t be installed. Then it’s time for changes!

i hate the thick bezels in the a54 to me its a downgrade to the design am still going with a53

The best in history is still Samsung A52s in terms of cameras and cpu, these new in the series getting downgraded. The new number in the series is for people who want to buy a new phone without checking the benchmark first.

Am currently using A53 5G. I don't think of upgrading anytime soon until wireless charging is added to either A55, A56, or A57. The only thing that will make me upgrade is wireless charging. If not, I will use this my A53 until it stops working completely.

I have the a53 around a month now. Overall I like it when in behaves. Although I experience stutter/lag especially when using apps like uber, So I am having a bit of buyers remorse. But there is no guarantee that wouldn't happen with the a54.

Exynos 1280 is now so bad that even Exynos 1330 in A14 5G is better than that 1280 in A53 5G, and we all know that A14 5G is a lot cheaper than A53 5G

A53 $290 vs A54 $449

I like how Kevin calls these " mid range devices" which is exactly what they are. Many other people are saying these are " budget phones" to me a budget phone is under 300.

Any NEW real good SMALLER size Android phones out there.???? Don't like the big clunky phones at all ! 5 or 5 1/2 " tall is all ya really need . A slightly taller phone is ok if it's narrower to hold and will fit in a pocket . Companies should and ..... have the ability...... to make a good lightweight satin composite type phone with Gorilla glass front. Anyway, thanks for all you do Kevin. You're my "go-too" when it comes to buying a phone.

I love the a54 5g. The a53 was a skip year, and the a54 is an upgrade year.

both phones seem very simular im hoping an software update will fix some of the finger print issues on the A53 I think is should be a tad quicker I know we cant ump up the processor to an 1285 if such one exists to maybe play games a bit better
but both are good buys.
