Honestly vanilla M2TW look amazing even by today's standards, if you don't zoom in too much. Which, after the first few hundred hours, you won't do anyways.

LOVE me some medieval 2.
It was the tail-end of my peak TW fandom. (I was a kid in secondary for Rome, Alexander, Medieval 2 era)

But I do feel that Atilla get's a bad rep.

I go back to Medieval 2 every so often and by far my biggest gripes with the old game that I'd want fixed:
- Unit movement is buggy as hell, particularly in cities. Units ignore orders, attack the wrong units, move to the wrong place, simply freeze etc.
- Unit placement is very poor

Man I love the game engine on older tw games. No heat seeking arrows and the units move smoothly and independent.

Raid shadow legends is not free...., it is free to try, but it it the most dishonest and greedy game outthere

The ring of LoD popping from 2D sprites to 3D models still is a problem on this mod. The short videos try to hide this.

I am the modder, who made the Western Unit Overhaul some 8-9 years ago, including a complete roster from peasants to late era knights. I was frustrated looking at the low poly potato heads in the original game. Glad to see the 3d models and textures appear in the more popular mods like SSHIP. Currently working on the Dawn of Conquest v2.0, a complete overhaul set in 100 years war period.

Can you change between campaign and battle presets automatically? In the video sounds like you can but I can't find an option that does that.

I'd say, I'd rather take Medieval 2 Remaster than Medieval 3. Not because I have anything against Eurocentric of Historical Total War, but because we all know that we're going to pay 60 bucks for a half-baked, bug-filled game, and has to spend another 60 bucks or double that amount spreading over the years to get the same amount of content that Medieval 2 offer out of the box. If CA didn't decide to pull the plug first like they did to Three Kingdoms that is.

I’ve tried Stainless Steel but the game kept crashing at a certain turn. I spent like 2 hours reading online trying to fix it but it never worked. It’s a shame because I loved the historical accuracy.

mtw2 mods are not user friendly. they are hard to download. wars of liberty is a mod for ages of empires 3. very easy to download. you just need the original game installed, download the mod and you're finished. total war mods should be as easy

Why do peole want a Remaster when there are already lots of Remasters made by modders?

I want proper and brand new Medieval 3 with new features and not just remaster.
