I lost 2 dobermans out of my life due this fact . You can still have it happen even if you do your best. Im having my new pups stomach fixed where she can't turn her stomach over if she bloats along with her spay. its safe. They can die due the organs losing oxygen from the twist of the bloat.

My Kira only speaks occasionally like if she does need out . Whines if I leave her in another room.. But not bark happy thank good ness.

Never trust a Doberman who tells you there is someone at the front door when you’ve just dished up steaks as by the time you get back in the kitchen she eaten them for you. 😂

Agree with most.. but none of the 5 Doberman's I had over the years were chewers or liked toys. All were scrupulously clean, grooming themselves like cats. Current Dobie will lick the insides of his forearms until damp,, then use each one to clean either side of his head. But all my Dobies have been amazingly agile, flexible -- , and like 35 mph on the run {seriously, they're fast), then couch potatoes later. They know every so called "command" but they also know exactly what you want or are thinking of, by your little throat noises or body language. Totally tuned- in people watchers, and eager to comply with ANY good folks. Yet, they protect, if that body language or scent of a new person they meet in public places is weird. Better antennas than we humans have. I've been saved many times by my Dobies' good antenna and warning to me, before I turned my back on a person on the street or in the park who Dobie had alerted to. Dobies prefer to deter... not to go into Cujo Mode..They LOVE cuddles and snuggling smack up against you when in in Couch Potato mode

I had to put my girl to sleep, worst day of my life, i cried when she got the shot too calm her, but she was already calm, lying in my arms, in the backseat of my car, looking me right in the eyes, licking my hand, i loved her so much its really heartbreaking, but i was glad that i did it in the backseat of my car, she put her head on my lap, was very calm and didnt have a care in the world. when i thought of putting her to sleep, witch was very hard and i really didnt want too, i thought of the idea that i would go in to the veterinarians practice, and go to this room where they would put my dog, the love of my life to sleep, it didnt feel right, i wanted her to feel safe, have no idea of what was going to happen at that time, and it was sad but beautifull that my little girl dobey, who was a really big girl in fact, not fat, just big, went to sleep forever without any stress on my lap, i cried my ass off, but she was still soothing me, giving kisses and looked me straight in the eye! im still crying writing this, but a dobeys love is the best love there is, i miss her everyday, and it was only yesterday, my girl, my love, my everything, being there for me in that moment, it was so sad and so beautifull at the same time, this is how you say goodbye to your best friend and the love of your life, looking each other in the eye, and comfort each other, no stress! My girl is gone!

Humane society needs to allow cropping of the ears and the tails of these beautiful animals and keep their look and to keep them in the AKC competitions.

Dobermans are in a class of their own. THEY ARE SUPERSTAR LOYAL,SMART ,SENSITIVE, AND ALL AROUND WONDERFUL. YOU MUST SOCIALIZE THEM AND SPEND TIME OR YOU WILL NOT HAVE A THE MOST YOU CAN GET FROM THEM . THEY LOVE HARDER THAN ANY DOG I HAVE EVER BEEN AROUND. THEY ARE THE BEST..YOU MUST HAVE TIME FOR THEM.I HAVE HAD 2 DOBBIES. BOTH WERE SPECIALLY SPECIAL! LOST BOTH TO CANCER. BROKE MY HEART, BUT THEY MADE LIFE THE BEST AND BOTH WERE THE BEST COMPANION A PERSON COULD EVER HAVE.

Why does a 4 month old Doberman pup flip out for 10 min when put into his crate?

Dobermans are very needy but that's okay, so am I. I dog sat one for a month and it was the best experience I've ever had. I loved her and she loved me and I was very sad to send her back to her owner.

Our 7 year-old female Doberman Camelia, does not bark at people, and does not even bark when someone knocks at the door. She will bark when other neighborhood dogs can be heard barking or howling. I guess she is not as vocal as most other Dobermans?

I have Doberman they are so easy to train and best watch dog you can get they can turn fast back legs go round first. and great with kids they are a all round family dog they do sleep up side down head hanging over chair. i thought only cats sleep like that they only live to ten or twelve years they say all good dog die young they are right

so true, my baby looks after his family including other pets in the house. For instant, one night our cat got out, no one knew, but my doberman did, so he would not let me going to bed until I heard our cat terrified meow, and got her in, then we were can rest!!!
