PHUKET - 5 NEW SCAMS in 2023!!

When I was there, the cost of taxis was the biggest scam I experienced. One guy tried the smudged sunglasses thing to try and force a sale, I told him to get lost.

So you are saying there are scam fortune tellers. Is this as opposed to the legit fortune tellers?

The police on this scam also. Yeah they have people working with them to sell you drugs and they’ll catch you with it later or be reported because someone doesn’t like the smell. Whatever man, I know they with the scam. Thailand crooked

Just returned from Phuket, I had really more female drivers than man and they were super nice and good drivers. The only male driver tried to cheat me. We had a 550 Baht trip payed over the APP. He was driving well so I gave him 100 baht cash as tip. Then it started that he said the trip is 1000 Baht cash and he refused to close the trip. I practically took his finger to close the right on his phone :-D problem solved

Thailand is a great place but you do have to be careful I have been here for 26 years and love it I had been here on a 3 month holiday and new a lot of the scams I have after all this time I last year I lost my Job as a teacher I let myself and and my house was a mess. I saw an advert in Facebook offering a cleaning service. A lady came round and did a fantastic job after 4 months
I had fallen for her she told me couldn't say the same. Now I am buying a house for us she is a lovely woman kind caring and has Never taken money from me not all Thai are out to scam you as my wife to be CAREFUL don't trust anyone you don't know well.

How about vap cigarets.. watch out. Pub owner said cops stopped saw 2 guys smoking E cicarets out front in the smoking ok area. Stopped asked the guys for 20,000 baht each. One payed one said go get nicked and chose to go Court. He was fined 120,000 baht. Dont vape in public.

What I do not understand is what happens when you click the link in the spam messages. You get stopped in the airport? By who and what happens then? Who benefits from this scam?
