Thank you very much for this video, Gabrielle!
ОтветитьNice
ОтветитьDo you have some general rules about using certain values/hues in certain parts of the process besides leaving the highlights towards the end?
ОтветитьI'm also a person who draws using the Procreate app. The painting style is my favorite style. I was fascinated by the video, so I subscribed. Thank you very much for inspiring me on how to paint through the video.😍😍😍😍😍
Ответитьwhat Application you recommend the most for Android regardless of learning curve ?
ОтветитьCan you please tell me what a '6b large with flat edge' brush is and/or where to get it? Very new...thanks
Ответить1st time and i am hooked... I'll be taking all your advice when drawing 👍😆
Ответитьجميل❤
ОтветитьI paint oil on canvas and I really really love the fundamentals all the way to finalizing and how you approach this, Gabrielle. Fantastic. Really learned some great stuff. Thank you!!
ОтветитьWhere can I find that picture??
ОтветитьAs a painter illustrator and art teacher you were really speaking my language
This is a perfect video. You communicated all these helpful things in such a comprehensive and inclusive way, no over complicated academic jargon. Nicely done, subscribed
Thank you for you advice! I never try to blur my references before. I always struggled how to paint more simple and this is true solution for me! I tried today and it's really amazing! It works for me perfectly! thank you!
ОтветитьInteresting approach, nice portrait. I was also wondering where one does get the Asaro head in this video? Thank you for uploading.
ОтветитьCould this work on animals? I love animals like primates and monkeys like as gibbons and squirrel monkeys and I really want to paint them
Ответитьamazing videos, if i may ask what ipad were you using in this video or what kind of ipad do you use usually?
ОтветитьWhat tablet are you using?
ОтветитьGreat stuff!
ОтветитьI thought this is the hardest thing for me to achieve while watching but i decided to try 100headchallenge with this method and trusted the process. At the end of it i spent more time for details , now i cant believe i did a perfect portrait with just putting pigments one by one. If there are people out there who wants to do this but doubting, DONT. Just start and trust the process you wont believe yourself. Thanks for the video
ОтветитьBeautiful 🤩
ОтветитьThank you for this wonderful video! because of this tutorial i've now signed up and i'm doing the piece together with you. It's really helping build my confidence back and opening my eyes to new techniques and ways of working! I'm also veey grateful for the brushes that come with it, so we can really follow along with you 💞
ОтветитьWhat’s the point of color picking ? Artist do not need to draw a shape only, they need to understand what color they are using, why and how ? There’s nothing to learn from that
I get that you have the background knowledge but giving that idea to beginner is not a good idea. Understanding colors and training your eyes to be as accurate as possible can take a lot of time depending on the people so i think they should try and learn it as soon as they can and avoid color picking entirely
this is not painting. you not even touch a drop of paint
ОтветитьEnjoyed the tutorial very much, as I am more into line work than painting, and this was just the thing to make my confidence in going line-free.
Also. What's with this fascination for faces. And no, I am not judging you, because I do this too. I love a pretty/interesting/storytelling face probably to the point that it could be a bit creepy for some if I see a face I like 😅... but honestly, I just adore faces. They tell you so much and yet so little of the person inside.
Great tutorial
ОтветитьFirst let me say you are an incredibly talented artist. Second, someone should be painting portraits of you!
ОтветитьHello Gabrielle, i really liked that image of reference, where can i get it to go hand by hand with the tutorial, can you please pass the link ?than you!!!!!1 big fan

ОтветитьThis is the first YT channel I have encountered that talks about how to paint. I digital paint but learned from watching traditional artists and translated what I saw to digital myself over the 2020 pandemic when I had all the time in the world. Most digital painting channels go for clout or just show what the tools can do without trying to build the persons actual skill. Then we have these beginning artists not knowing certain skills that would help them build. Their foundation is weak due to not having seen the right information.
What is in this video was the first 6-8 months of me trying to learn how to digital paint. That info is critical. It builds some type of foundation for any beginning artist to follow. Without that foundation, supplementing new concepts or ideas might be difficult. I didn't use any of the tools or digital art for 1 year so I could learn how to fix things without them. This is why it is important to DO and not simply just watch. After 1 year I got decent and posted a timelapse painting of a self-portrait. Not the best but I wanted to start a YT channel but bailed on that idea. I decided to learn more about the fundamentals of art. Now my skills are better.
I actually think this channel is amazing I wanted to do something like it, but I see you can explain it clearly and concisely and the setup is great. I'll subscribe, watch and comment for the channel growth.
This is a real deal art channel.
Если у вас нет большого опыта в рисовании портретов, то даже и не пытайтесь использовать такую технику без линейного наброска, разочаруетесь в результате!!!
ОтветитьThis is quite similar to how I work. I use the reference window feature, rather than side by side. But I prefer your approach. Being able to blur reference is a very smart idea. Would like to see how you finish too. I often stop a little bit too early.
ОтветитьHow did you do the picture/painting split?
ОтветитьThis is a beautifully orchestrated tutorial.. I appreciate the tips as I am ne to digital drawing
ОтветитьAmazing video! Thank you for all the patience to explain step by step!
ОтветитьI always have a fear when starting, and a pressure of it to be perfect, your approach and words really mean the world ❤
ОтветитьI haven't really done Portraits before.
I have done Something Like portraits for Fantasy characters/critters. But they are usually more sketchy and not well realistic like your doing.
I was wondering if i can learn from this to help with the more fantasy side of my portraits or incorperate the technique. 🤔
I guess it's time to go back to basics and relearn and try this out! c:

ОтветитьHi Gabrielle, I want to buy the brush set you used in this video on your etsy store, but I'm not sure which brush set it is, since you have so many. Please let me know which set it is, thanks
Ответить👍🎨🌿
ОтветитьPlease put the another part of the video to full fill the drawing tutorial video madam
ОтветитьHow to set two part, reference photo, drawing screen, blur photo
Ответитьme too, I go straight painting shapes with value and colors. no need to sketch at all. it's fun!
ОтветитьWhich free Procreate brushes would you suggest to use?
ОтветитьThis course has propelled my work - thank you so much
ОтветитьLove this instruction video! How do you split the screen like this?
ОтветитьThanks for sharing! This is exactly the approach I've been looking to learn.
ОтветитьGreat video. Learned tons from you. Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьOh my word! Just what I've been thinking about. I'm signing up for the class right now!! 🙌
