I don't fully understand everything that he's trying to tell us to do. Like I understand that he is telling us to improve our perspective by studying perspective in art work and photographs but is he saying that we should break down the anatomy of Kim Jung Gi's drawings to improve our own understanding of anatomy or is he saying that we need to improve our own understanding of anatomy in order to get better at drawing? Essentially, what is his advice to get better at drawing rather than simply practising a lot, in simple words?

Drawing more does make you draw better, but very slowly. If I draw a bearded face 10 times, face number 10 will be better off than face number 1. Will I ever be the next Heinrich kley from just drawing a billion billion billion billion billion times, no (I doubt it anyhow), but will I be better at drawing, yes.

All of this is first semester stuff. Everybody, who learns drawing knows that... better ye: they can name it correctly.
And at the end of the day, before you can finish the semester, you still need to "draw a lot".
Annoying.
