Love the terrain, absolutely can't justify spending that much on STL files however, especially considering it's personal use only. $700 plus for terrain STL files ? Yeah, nah.
ОтветитьSo let me get this straight the printed terrain is 5x more expensive than the GW terrain?
ОтветитьAnd then Legion Imperialis newer came😢 hope it's realised soon
ОтветитьSick
ОтветитьDo you guys have any vendors who print 3D 6-10mm terrain for sale that you like? I ask because I don't have access to a printer myself.
ОтветитьReally want to see epic scale fantasy happening. Basically want to make a full Minas Tirith, etc. viable. Bigger armies, and return of movement trays…
ОтветитьNow that is just awesome
ОтветитьThat's an impressive table. outstanding work!
ОтветитьPost it to me 😊. 😃😄😁😆😅5 Smile's.
ОтветитьI'm excited! 💥
ОтветитьBattletech content when?
ОтветитьGot a sealed epic hierophant sitting on my shelf, right next to my forge world hierophant lol.
Ответитьif i cans ay, pelase stop sayign 6 mm and 8mm are the same, they arnt, and GW was doing a bad and changignthe scale fo armies so that means everyone has to buy everythign new again,
its a bad business practice and shouldnt be praised,
Great looking Terrain! I'd be excited to see something less city like, more nature based terrain.
ОтветитьHey guys, if you're looking to feature more small scale terrain for legions imperialis I'd highly recommend checking out the files from the lazy forger, grimdark terrain and bits blitz designs. Lazy forger has beyond incredible detail at scale, grimdark terrain is an entire modular system that expands every month and bits blitz has a tone of tiny dudes ships and crates that can help world build and fit well as little civies and milita/gangers for cities. Looking forward to seeing more small scale stuff :)
ОтветитьI'm always shocked when gamers, who can often be the most annoyingly accurate exact rule-lawyer people there are, are OK with using a measurement as a scale. I mean, I get it -- when Hasbro says "6 inch scale" they mean 1/12. They just gave a scale a nickname. But it does us all no good. When this video (which is great btw) says "___ mm scale is because the average dude is 6 feet" we are supposed to then know the height of every character in our game? Just get a unit of measurement and stick by it, like 6" = 1 inch, so it's __ scale. People are all confused by this because there is no standard of scale from before. I know they use bases more so than model height, but that doesn't help. Anyway, just hate it as a toy collector when someone says "5 inch scale" or something. It's like, what does 5 inches equal, in which line?" lol
ОтветитьGreat to see you focusing on the smaller scales. It would be good to mention some of the companies that have kept 6/8mm wargaming alive with their cast metal and hard plastic kits (models and terrain) such as Troublemaker Games and Vanguard Minis as well.
ОтветитьEPIC :)
ОтветитьSo cool! Sadly, I do not play Epic Scale games.
ОтветитьThis is really cool because I think smaller scale can really showcase a setting through the terrain. 3d printing seems like a way to support smaller creators that really enhance the hobby. I would love to see more terrain (and game systems) that captures unique locations such as underhives, cyberpunk cities, ash wastes, complex cavern systems, and mega space stations.
I find that the dieselpunk industrial aesthetic that's so pervasive in current terrain sets doesn't fully capture the imaginative concepts found in 40k lore.
Loved it, this was awesome, been trying to buy the old realm of battle boards for epic! Making me think about a 3d printer
ОтветитьSo all I have to do is complain and I get my own video? Sweet. This table is not epic at all. Not enough ... hmm lets say LEDs and laser
ОтветитьThat is looking great
ОтветитьNEver played Battletech, but their minis was some of the first Sci-Fi minis I saw pictures of and really liked them.
ОтветитьYou know the 1/265 scale that Battletech and Legions Imperialis are both in, if you calculate it, has the average human male at around 7mm tall, or 7mm scale. (steeples fingers) Heh heh heh...
ОтветитьThat table looks great, the painters did a really great job. Checked out the printer and it looks like an awesome machine, sadly I will need to wait for them to get cheaper, stupid adult decisions .
ОтветитьI am not even currently play WH40k, but terrain is so beatiful that I would build diorama if id have space. Man we have come long way since 1996 when I started. As we were kids with very 2nd starter box, our terrain was what is the box (cardboard cuts) and some toy scenery :D
ОтветитьDefinitely looking forward to filling my table with awesome terrain! Thanks a ton for the help 😊
ОтветитьDare i say beyond epic????
ОтветитьWith how excited Matt is for Legion Imperialis i hope MWG plays a good amount of games of it. While i'm interested in the game already having Titans from Titanicus and it making a great excuse to buy a Maruader bomber or 2 i worry it'll just be like Titanicus and Aeronautica. Some play and support at the start then fall off with no one playing. Even on MWG Titanicus is like a once in a few months type of thing.
ОтветитьThat terrain looks epic! I played Epic many years ago when it first came out, and I still have my armies in a box somewhere. I am tempted ...
ОтветитьThis all being said... are you gonna be playing battletech?
ОтветитьFor the price of full set I can just buy a printer and resin/filament paints and airbrush and a gaming mat and make it myself 😂
ОтветитьWhy is the cost “half” on the P1P?
ОтветитьAnd not a single piece of "GrimDark Terrain's" amazing stuff. I'm sorry...but you sir Epicly fail!
ОтветитьLOVE what you guys are doing here. I mean, it's a natural progression to focus on scenery, but you're you're doing it big...and small, actually. Kudos!
Ответитьthis game board looks amazing and im soo sad that epic is only returning for 30K not for 40k. i would have loved to play that
ОтветитьCool Warpath board!
ОтветитьWould you consider selling stls? Or running a market place for them?
ОтветитьThe fact that you're selling the stuff in a physical form absolutely sells it for me. I barely have enough time without 3d printers for my hobby as is, so needing to invest in one just to partake in so many of the great designs for minis and terrain people have been putting out is just about impossible to justify. Sincerely, thank you for not just leaving everything as only .stl files that I can really only just look at.
ОтветитьSpeaking of Epic 40k. You guys should try the 40k Apocalypse rules with 6mm figures. I've heard it is fun and works well.
Ответитьthis is Epic!
ОтветитьEpically brilliant work Matt as I am using MWG dice to gift my adversaries 🎲🎲 🎉
ОтветитьEpic? I dunno, but it’s freaking badass
ОтветитьYou might need to explain what a mm is - for the peoples in the old countries, like USA.
6mm is approximately 1/4 inch
Now this is EPIC.
I love War Scenery too.
When I was younger, I think i would have liked 8mm just to get as much density as possible. But when i actually started, I didnt like how tiny and fiddly everything was, i wanted them big enough for me to appreciate and personalize while filling the table. Now Im finding that 8mm really suits what I want to see when I look at the table, density of terrain and hordes of soldiers
Now that’s EPIC!!!
ОтветитьHoping for a narrative campaign :0
ОтветитьOh, this is an Epic 40k table, not an epic 40k table. Too bad.
