Is it possible to upgrade an older Di2 system to a newer junction box with wireless capabilities and sincro shift?

I have Ultegra R6870 on my bike. So, no extra buttons on the hoods. I would like to add them to get the advantage of using them with bike computers. Please help me how I can upgrade them and where I can buy them.

How do I install the 4 way junction box if I can’t access the inside of my frame through the bottom bracket sleeve? Am I missing a part I still need to remove? I have a 2014 specialised Venge Comp Ultegra

Hi, I find your video's very helpful, but i have a new problem. I have just replaced my Dura-Ace ST-9070 shifters (after damaging the originals in a crash) The old ones still shifted OK, but when I fitted the new out of the shinny Dura-Ace box, the new shifters don't shift at all. When I plug the old shifters in they shift, back to the new ones, nothing. Do the new shifters need the firmware updated first ? Thanks..

One of the wires pulled out near the bottom back derailler. I have no idea how this happened but I realized it when suddenly I could not change my gears anymore. Do I have to take it all apart now for one wire getting lose?

For cyclocross, could you set the hood buttons to shift the front and mirror the shift lever buttons to shift up on the right and down on the left? It's cold up in North U.S and we need heavy gloves.

If you have the ultegra 6870 can you add the dura ace sprint satellites to them? There is a third port and its 11 speed but I don't know if you can.

Are the days of getting on a bike that hasn't been ridden in a few years and just being able to ride gone? I understand new electronic technology is fun but it has major drawbacks. Dead batteries, electronic connections that get shorted out, corrosion, the big one--> It gets outdated quickly. Will you have to change out the whole system when parts aren't available? Just hate to think of paying so much for a bike and then 10 years from now looking at it and having to buy a whole new di2, di3, di whatever just to make it shift.

Really useful video, part of the fun of cycling is working on the mechanics of the bike, I've had a great deal on a Scott with Di2 group set, now about to start the build, can't figure out where my rear brake cable goes...lol...might just leave it off....might need a medic!!!!
