Someday, someone is going to make a movie based on "Tomb of Horrors" with to the arrogant characters falling to the traps, the comic relief characters taking the false ending, while only the best characters finish the campaign.

I did notice the cartoon character from the 80’s dungeon and dragon’s cartoon . Cameo I’m hoping that they can return in their very own stand alone D & D film and Hank was a Ranger not a hunter

yes, we did miss owlbears and mimics, sure...

There's a scene where a character is dangling and the dragon tries to snatch them, that looks to homage Jurassic Park. And when Xenk leaps to strike the dragon, looks to be from 300 or maybe The Matrix.

It was good to see the cartoon cast again in the maze sequence!

Me and my playgroup rented this movie and accidentally watched like 30 minutes with Audio Description. We were like "wow they have a literal DM in this movie" until the jank moved in. Was an interesting concept.

I was both happy and sad to see the cartoon crew. Happy they showed up, sad Uni was MIA. Not to mention their weapons LOL!

The ending with the owlbear and the sorcerer had me rolling. So many D&D references and callbacks. I'd love to see a more serious D&D story with as much care taken as this did, but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. If you've ever played D&D this is exactly what it is like. Hilarity and chaos, but also epicness and deep narrative.

I've been chipping away at Critical Role's campaigns and have seen their merch at the FYE in the mall close to where I live.
I bought a 3-pack of 8-bit characters from campaign 3 and Fresh Cut Grass was one of them.
So when my parents and I went to see the movie at the Café Theater, and the scene came up, I instantly knew what he was referring to!

The Mimic at 2 minutes..... It's a blink and you miss it moment, but just before Ed, Holga, Simon and Doric find Zenc Yendar, there is a wagon of giant clams that roll past them on the road, and if you're watching, what appears to be a Mimic's tongue slips out of one of them, lashes about a bit, and then disappears again.

The spell used to make the Fresh Cut Grass smell is called Prestidigitation.

Well as I understand it, when it comes to the prison Revel's End it was a something the film makes needed for the movie so they worked with WoTC on it . WoTC then release the Adventure "Icewind Dale. Rime of the Frostmaiden" that features the prison so it became canon because the film makers needed a prison.

I called out all of the amazing spells and creatures as soon as I saw them. I also referred to the gelatinous cube as the dungeon garbage disposal. Also if the Thayan's the dragon ate were just gonna come back to life are the dying and rezing in his stomach?

Another thing is that the film's subtitle has been used before, even inspiring me to make a trivia question meant to confuse people.

one of my favorite Easter eggs that gave me a delayed reaction were how they put the characters from the D&D cartoon from the 80s during the maze fight. that made me shriek my head off

As a 90s kid, I grew up with Point-and-Click Adventure Games. So to me, that the Sorcerer is named Simon was the nicest Easter-Egg.😊

I love the Classic cartoon show made a cameo! That was so cool.

I mean Honor was BETTER. But not there yet. It was in a REAL D&D setting. Now get us a GOOD script too.

I went into this movie expecting it to be good but I thought it was great! My son has played this game for years bringing his sister in as well. I didn’t get all the Easter eggs from the game but that didn’t matter for me because the movie is so much fun.
