It’s funny how we can’t apply the same standards to the living…….so many politicians, public servants, bureaucrats, corporate donors and prime contractors would be jobless and even incarcerated.

There'd be quite an egg on the face if they proudly proclaiming a statue of a dude that rounded up dozens of Aboriginal women and children, shot and desecrated their bodies. Maybe this still seems comical to you Aussies. But here in the States, I can't tell you how many times I've seen a statue and researched who it was and found something I didn't like, then looked for a sign nearby and found out which administration built the sign and then called for their impeachment. It's like every other week these days.

So the issue is that a sign which is not pointing at a statue that, as far as we know, isn't problematic could be seen as a sign that could be pointing at a statue that we may find out is problematic someday? Insanity.

Statues to people you think are bad nowadays, is just reading books by people who are butthurt.

Tearing down statues is the same as burning books. You dont want to erase history.
