Ahh yes the most unreliable tire for a semi-truck, sounds like a good idea.

Their doing one thing wrong and that’s not inspecting the tyre first on the spreader. They go thru grinding the tyre (which is done with metal blades with teeth that look like a normal ships anchor for teeth they are VICIOUS) then grinding out any imperfections.
A lot of time could be wasted if when inspected they find faults inside the case.
This is the BANDAG process of tyre recapping.
