Little bit of confusion in the comments of this video so hopefully I can clear it up here. volt-amps and cooling is what you give a CPU, heat is what you get. No harm can come out of checking your temperatures while you are gaming, and making sure they are, say below 70c. Heat also causes combustion, which is why it's so important to keep it at low as possible in the everyday PC. Ultimately though, on the a320 (without changing our cooling solution), we can reduce these temps by undervolting, and setting in a max temp limit (which also reduces the clock speeds to levels that consume less voltages too).
So I was working more in reverse order in this video. However the video is designed to help people without much knowledge on the subject too.
As for the aggressive voltages, AMD should release a bios update, with the option to select a more conservatively tuned CPU, as we could only really undervolt -.075mv before we reached instability on this setup.

I encountered exactly the same problem when I upgraded my GPU from GTX 1660 to RTX 3080 while using Ryzen 5 3600. First of all, yes, I know that the R5 3600 is not the best CPU for the RTX 3080, but I was planning to update gradually. What happened to me was that I never saw temperatures exceeding 80 degrees Celsius on my R5 3600 when I was using the GTX 1660.

After upgrading to the RTX 3080, my CPU temperatures spiked up to 90+ degrees Celsius even on not-so-demanding games. At first, I thought it was time to change my thermal paste. However, repasting didn't yield any results. Then I considered the possibility that my airflow was inadequate. Due to limited space and a tight case placement, I had only 3 intake fans in the front and 1 exhaust fan at the back. The RTX 3080 was generating more heat, and the stock Wraith cooler was struggling in such conditions. To address this, I borrowed fans to use as exhaust at the top of the case. This effort only reduced the temperature by 3-5 degrees, which didn't satisfy me.

After a few hours of research, my final conclusion was that the RTX 3080 was too demanding for my R5 3600. I initially thought the only problem would be a bottleneck, but the issue was causing my CPU temperatures to rise significantly despite my CPU load being no more than 60%.

To address the overheating problem, I purchased an AIO Liquid Cooler. Now, the temperatures are relatively low, around 70-75 degrees Celsius even under maximum load. However, I'm still not completely satisfied. I believe the temperatures can be even lower with a more suitable CPU.

nzxt watercooler, no OC, since some Months it raises up to 80-90 ! with only 10% cpu use ! at last also if i'm in bios.
today 2 minutes after start it shuts down.

This video is highly misleading.

OP is trying to improve performance using a crappy CPU cooler.. There's so many videos on the wraith stealth cooler and 3600 already.

The overwhelming consensus is that you need a new CPU cooler. Wraith prism at minimum or something else..for best performance go with an AIO.

Not sure what the purpose of this video is. Only in the last few seconds does he say "get a better CPU cooler"

PBO does not do anything under an all core load. Did you read anything about PBO before trying to advise the public? PBO will boost when there is thread under utilization, not during cinebench. Also, it has been stated numerous times by AMD that these CPUs are designed to run full tilt up to 90C before throttling. You're losing 10% performance because of a little fear of heat. Use a better cooler or run in ECO Mode. Very simple.

OK so. I'm watching this now using R5 3600 with recently changed cooler and thermal paste and general cleaning (circa 2 months ago) and am kinda confused. On the older cooler I reached 80c pretty regularly on games - it was also a really hot summer and my PC does not have particularly good positioning for a PC - which eventually led to me going and opening my wallet for the change. I don't remember the model right now as I'm not at home, I remember though that the tech that was helping me out was either against or really pro silentium coolers, anyway. The thing is. I'm not reaching 80c anymore, not to mention 90. Sure under full load with cinebench and over heavy tests I'm getting around 78c tops, and while gaming that goes to around 72 (was the highest I remember getting), which sounds much lower than what's presented here...?

I personally had issues with my 3700X on stock settings, as it shut down due to overheating with a Scythe Fuma 2, ended up running it at 4.2Ghz at 1.25V manual, no PBO or XFR and that solved the issue, the spikes of 1.4V where literally killing the cpu by overheating it, even with my high end cooler and thermal grizzly kryonaut.
And after investigating a little bit seems to be a common issue with the ryzen 3000 series cpu's.

undervolted is great , my 5800X3d dropped 20c with minimal performance loss ,even with a good cooler it was sounding like a hair dryer and running up over 80c in some applications , it is more useful on this part with the v cache but even so , for those with weaker cooling solutions this will really help , just be sure to drop it in small increments and monitor stability , if you go too low and wont boot just clear cmos and set to the last stable voltage

4 GHz locked, PBO and CPB off, voltage is at normal setting in BIOS so it is 1.1V. Works fine and stable for me temperature doesnt go above 51 degrees in games. But! If i go above 4GHz it starts to freeze and crash whole system no matter what voltage i set. Also when i go above 3200MHz on RAMs it fails again. I think CPU's IMC is also failing.

Well, reduce the voltage, raise amperage and watts ( PPT / SOC / TDC / EDC ) limit all the way to the max and you will have the best performance possible with low temps. Do this via AMD Ryzen Master, it's very easy. My R5 3600 is completely 200% stable on all games at 1.125V 4.2GHz, the temps never go above 55°, this cpu is very good for real.

But the default settings are completely garbage for some reasons, very high temps and the amperage/watts limit is way too low and is always at 100% limiting the performance of the CPU, but at least AMD give us the software to change that easily.
