Is Destiny 2 Free to Play Worth Playing in 2023?

Even if you pay for dlc and all it isn't worth wasting your time

Imagine buying the game before it went free 2 play.

Destiny need to make a pack that’s just does everything for new players

I really got hooked up with destiny as a f2p. Havent touched the gmw for over 5 yeras now because you can only go so far 😢

I don't even think it's worth playing the the game if you buy all of the DLC at this point. I quit awhile back ago because it's literally just a rinse and repeat of the same thing over and over again.

ahahaha i stopped playing when d2 went ftp and starts to worth as much as my internet subscription to play a full game (with free skins in compensation of 70$ spent in the bas full game lol)
and didnt take news after 3 firsts dlcs (ftp period)
and im not surpirised but im so surprise at the same time lmaoooo

Honestly i think destiny is one of the biggest offenders in this era of monetization. D1 was totally fine and i didn't remember anything that seened unfair. D2 lauch was also okay(monetization wise) at launch and fir the first few dlcs. But ut all changed with Activision. You can even see it in collections. There used to be legendary sparrows/ships and you could purch ingrams. Now almost every is exotic and rare and you have either wait months/years potentially or you have to spend money. And they removed almost everything from forsaken and everything before it. So "free to play" is basically 5% of the content and you don't have the ability to earn more content without money. So its basically a scam. Dont get me wrong its a great game but you have to drop 200+ on it if there is no sales.

Yeah this is why I gave up on destiny I been playing since it came out and when DLC started coming out I gave up on the game 🤷🏻‍♂️I just hate that they push the best stuff behind dlc

I just bought all the DLCs during the summer sale, I mean I still have an addiction to buy the season pass but that's not important.

I havent played D2 since the first dlc. So id basically be a newlight again. This perfectly captures why getting back in is just a hopeless endeavor. Info dumping. Paywalls around every corner. And outrageous XP walls and time consuming, soul draining, chores.

Just started playing 2 weeks ago and can confirm info dumping and pop ups are rough 😂 no idea what is going on

This is why I stopped playing the second they locked me out from the game because the first dlc came out like wtf is wrong with this company but then again the entire community just buy anything they throw at them

To play destiny you need ps plus a ps5 and all the dungeons and raids

Now do it f2p with no psplus or xboxlive

Preordered the edition of this game for 70$ or wtv its been years an i get the same content as a f2p player??? All the content i paid for is gone so where is the compensation??? scummy asf

When he mentioned, "forever gated at level 6" , felt this in my bones. Been f2playing for the past 1500++ hours, and often look up to others in admiration for their accomplishments in those quests that I can't access. But it's ok it's all good, and oh ,many thanks to y'all players for keeping the teamplayer spirit in strikes/ destiny runs making it a pleasant experience for everyone without judgement. Salute.

I played destiny free 2 play as a new player and abandoned it after about 10 hrs of playing, because I didn't know which quests I can do without paying and how I get better gear and weapons.

Game looks boring as fuck 😂

Dude i only experience about 75% of all this BS because i dont even own 20% of this game this how bad the transactions have gotten i remember when i only needed forsaken and the new season pass to play 100% of the content but now its EXTREMELY difficult to keep up on the payments to play just splash of content these days

Now if u don't have ps plus on ps4 or five no Crucible no strikes no gambit no raids nothing tbh it's bs I can only do public stuff like roam worlds and that's about it not even dares work without ps plus

I just came back after like 2 years of not playing. My friend wanted to play again and I said yes.

The info dump is insane. I feel like I have to re learn the game completely. But so far I remember why I loved this game
