I keep all of my spices in the freezer because I live in a hot, humid country and some things go mouldy. BTW, I would LOVE a deboning knife. My knives are limited but mostly German and they pack away neatly into a drawer which is also a wooden breadboard. I have two big drawers which are 'dump' drawers because I use glass containers with clippy tops, not plastic bags (single use plastic bags are TERRIBLE for the environment and the local wildlife. Glass containers can be thrown into the dishwasher and reused. Chefs need to think about the environment as well! Re: dishcloths, I have one washable per day for each sink (as I have 2 sinks in the main kitchen) although I wouldn't describe my kitchen as large - just well designed.😅

Just watched your two kitchen organization videos 🤯 treasure chest of knowledge. The two biggest takeaways you made me realize were my spices and knives were in the wrong place from where I cook in my kitchen. I recently had my kitchen remodeled and out of default put most things back in the cabinets where they were before the remodel even though the rest of my kitchen was rearranged 🤦🏽 duh! You just saved me so much time and effort

No love for boning knives? I use it all the time to debone chicken. You don’t have to be a pro chef to use a boning knife. But good suggestions otherwise. I have a small kitchen and every square inch is valuable. One cool thing I found and use is magnetic spice tins that attach to the side of the fridge.

It might be super organized but I can't stand the appearance of clutter. Everything out in the open like this is a nightmare to keep clean and degreased. I like the magnetic strip have seen it in several places but the rest of it needs to be on some kind of pull-out, push-back system IMO. Hanging pots and pans are just yucky to look at. If you're worried about scarring the surfaces just put a piece of padded drawer liner between them.

I bought a knife block with 35 slots that holds all my knives. Love it. But I have 6x 8” chefs knives, so that helps too.

I literally took all the doors off of my upper cabinets. I love them being open, it lets in light and air and most of all I can see everything!

I love how you prioritize inspiration, something i think everyone disregards in every facet of life and something i find hard to come by but when i see something out like brown sugar makes me feel like making cookies or when i see my paints out on my desk i can just get some water and start painting because the passion to create is there but when its all hidden away and you have to find things you need to create your less likely to create.

Yeah, right, after a day of work I would enjoy more work if only it was better organised. I dislike cooking. It takes time, it's work, everything has to be cleaned later. If I could never cook, if I could afford to always eat out or order food, I'd never cook.

My kitchen is decently organised, and I actually enjoy the process of washing up, I don't hate the art of cooking (although I'm not interested in it), and I like the food I cook. I just dislike how much it takes off my life.
