According to this scripture people get baptized for the forgiveness of sins.

Acts 2:38 NIV
[38] Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

According to what you said in this video how is it that you can be saved before baptism but then you require it as a command from Jesus.

Jesus commmanded it because that is what saves you. Baptism the participation in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus. Bury your old life come up new and forgiven.

Not new life before ( believe) then get baptized and new life again when you come out the water. That doesn’t make sense.

According to the scripture above Baptism is required for salvation not after salvation

Water baptism is not an outward sign of a private change. Not hardly. Baptism is for the following. Remissions of sins, receiving the Holy Spirit, and to join the Church.

What you are teaching is heresy.

You should change your T-Shirt from"Got Truth" to Got Milk.

Praise God from whom all blessings flow I was reborn may 25th 2002 at 7 weeks old.

1 Peter 3:21 (NKJV): 21 There is also an antitype which now saves us—baptism (not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

First.

What is Baptism?

–Answer: Baptism is not simple water only, but it is the water comprehended in God's command and connected with God's Word.

Which is that word of God?

–Answer: Christ, our Lord, says in the last chapter of Matthew : Go ye into all the world and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Secondly.

What does Baptism give or profit?

–Answer: It works forgiveness of sins, delivers from death and the devil, and gives eternal salvation to all who believe this, as the words and promises of God declare.

Which are such words and promises of God?

–Answer: Christ, our Lord, says in the last chapter of Mark : He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Thirdly.

How can water do such great things?

–Answer: It is not the water indeed that does them, but the word of God which is in and with the water, and faith, which trusts such word of God in the water. For without the word of God the water is simple water and no baptism. But with the word of God it is a baptism, that is, a gracious water of life and a washing of regeneration in the Holy Ghost, as St. Paul says, Titus, chapter three: By the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost, which He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ, our Savior, that, being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying.

Fourthly.

What does such baptizing with water signify?

–Answer: It signifies that the old Adam in us should, by daily contrition and repentance, be drowned and die with all sins and evil lusts, and, again, a new man daily come forth and arise; who shall live before God in righteousness and purity forever.

Where is this written?

–Answer: St. Paul says Romans, chapter 6 : We are buried with Christ by Baptism into death, that, like as He was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

It's amazing what I have seen happen after people get baptized. It changes people. I was told it was not needed but something to do if we wanted to make a public act of faith. I am glad I did it. It did wash my sins clean I believe as I started to see clearly. I started to get dreams and visions of things that ended up coming true. I was warned of a spiritual attack that was going on for a long time and when and where the attack would get bad and it did and I was able to get my wife and I to safety just in time to avoid a car that hit the tree where we woudl have been standing. It's a long story but there was gossip going around we were made aware of before we had it confirmed. It was in another city and we found out whole visiting. Our lives have been blessed and the Lord has uplifted our marriage ever since.

Guys, baptism is a must. Not an afterthought. I don’t understand why everyone misses this.
Baptism is the sharing of Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection. You repent, go under water burying your old life and coming up a new creation. Hence why your sins are forgiven and you get the Holy Spirit Acts 2:26-38 SAVED. just read it.

The thief on the cross didn’t have to get baptized since Jesus hasn’t died yet. How can the thief be commanded to repent, die to his life of sin, and be a new creation if Jesus was still alive next to him. Jesus forgave people all the time during his Minestry.
Think about it.
-Jesus got baptized and received the Holy Spirit
- Jesus said you have to be born of water and Spirit or you won’t enter the kingdom of God. John 3
- Jesus commanded it - go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them (Matthew 28:18-20)
- Peter preached to Acts 2:36-38- repent and be baptized… for the forgiveness of your sins and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. And 3,000 were baptized
- Paul’s conversation, he was baptized
- Ethiopian Eunuch was baptized
- The Gentiles were baptized
- Lydia got baptized and her family
- The jailer got baptized
- Even in Romans 6:1-5 Paul said that the church in Rome was baptized

People don’t realize that the letters (Romans, 1 & 2 Corinthians, etc) were written to churches with baptized believers already in it. Those letters are not for salvation but for teaching them how to live.
The only book you see someone lost and then saved is in Acts. How could Paul preach a gospel other then the one he received… since he got baptized.

Seriously. I get Romans 10 says to say it and believe it but read Romans 6:1-5… Paul said all that church was baptized.

It’s a shame that we teach wrong salvation doctrine. Just open the Bible, read it, and see that it’s there before you comment. I’m trying to help you guys.

And baptism is not “works” it’s obedience. Works was the 600+ laws the Jews had to follow, that’s works. But obeying once is not works… that’s just ridiculous. Otherwise, try to discredit every verse and example I quoted. If the Bible can’t contradict itself, then try to discredit why 80% of the writes did it and taught it. Jesus, Peter, Paul. 🤦🏻‍♂️.

So if you haven’t done what’s Acts 2 said. Which is Believe, repent, get baptized for the forgiveness of sins and received the Holy Spirit… then I would do something about that or not. I’m just the messenger. God bless.
And before the angry comments, read the scriptures and than come with some answers. I wish it was that easy but unfortunately that’s not what the Bible says

Outstanding video :) I might add that baptism by immersion reprises (via Romans 6:3-4) Christ's death, burial and resurrection. You die to your sin, are buried in the water, and rise again as a new person. But if for medical reasons you cannot be immersed, God knows the heart.

What happens if you’re in a country where Christianity is illegal? How do you get baptized then? How do you baptize someone who just accepted Christ on their death bed and can’t be moved? I guess the thief on the cross was disobeying God by not getting baptized first. Not everyone is in a position to get baptized.

@artmiller2341
@artmiller2341 - 08.03.2023 00:10

Many religions and doctrines believe that in reference to baptism, Jesus is referring to water baptism. This explanation is not satisfactory because if Jesus is referring to the Christian baptism, how was Nicodemus supposed to understand this concept? In John 3, baptism is nowhere mentioned. In fact, nowhere in the Bible are we told to do anything or work for salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, For by grace you have been saved through faith. And no this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
In John 4:2, we are told that Jesus did not baptise people. Water baptism is an outward sign of being given the gift of salvation and not a requirement for salvation.
In Luke 23:40-43, one of the criminals crucified next to Jesus says, Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Jesus replied, Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise. There was no requirement for baptism here. Born of water refers to the natural birth. Amniotic water which we floated in and when our mother's water broke, we were born into this world. This is the natural birth. We must have a physical birth first, just like everyone else, and the second must be a spiritual birth, which is a work of God and that's being born again. The problem with the interpretation of religion and doctrines is that there are no references to such a thought in the Old and New Testaments. Especially with Jesus’ teaching to Nicodemus. Since Nicodemus was a teacher of the Law, there has to be something from scripture to reveal this truth from scripture. In fact, Nicodemus was confused by this statement from Jesus and asked in John 3:9, How can these things be? Jesus responds in John 3:10, saying, Are you the teacher of Israel and yet you do not understand these things?
We must be born spiritually in the heart just as we are born physically. Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
As a baby does not contribute to the birth process, it's the same with the spiritual birth since it is a complete work of God according to Ephesians 2:8-9

Hello! Soo I love your show and I like when you confront the issues when Preachers / Ministers/Teachers who agree with some of the Bible but not all. Like this matter. I have done my research and baptism means to immerse. That’s the Hebrew meaning. So why do some of the P/T/M take away being baptized in water away from their people. To me that’s just being lazy with Word. So I guess we are better than Jesus Christ who was baptized immersed in water. NOT!!!!! I have even heard Creflo say that and some things I really agree with him on but then some I don’t. But that’s with whoever I listen to when it comes to the Word of God. I always show myself approved of His Word. You can’t just through anything at me because I love to read and research as much as I can. So thank you for this True understanding of baptism. If you are not baptized, you are not saved.

For salvation, we just need to follow the way they did it in Acts?
They repented, were baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38!
Here's why! The gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. If we are to follow him, we must do the same thing. Death= repentance, Burial = baptism, and resurrection = being filled and rising again from the dead and walking in the newness of life.
That's what Acts 2:38 is. It harmonizes with Matthew 28:19, and all the other salvation scriptures.
We can't pick and choose which scriptures we like or dislike.
We must obey the gospel, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that OBEY NOT THE GOSPEL of our Lord Jesus Christ... Matthew 7:21-23, Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOTH THE WILL OF MY FATHER which is in Heaven. St John 3:3-5, EXCEPT for a man be born of WATER AND OF THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter the kingdom of GOD.
We can't come up with our own gospel. Galatians 1:8-9, But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Don't be cursed. One way for all people. Jews, Gentiles, and Samaritans.
Our salvation has to match up with the scriptures, and no scriptures on the subject can be taken away. Eternity is TOO long to be WRONG! St, John 5:39, search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
The gospels show what Christ has done on the cross for us. The book of Acts shows us the beginning of Christ's Church and how to enter the Church, obeying Acts 2:38. The letters were written to the Church to show us how to behave now that we are born again into the Church.
It's better to walk alone than with a crowd going in the wrong direction. Are we supposed to follow the teachings of the apostles? Acts 2:42, And they continued steadfastly in the apostle's doctrines. Ephesians 2:20, We are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ being the chief cornerstone. Don't get Titus 3:5 mixed up with James 2:14-26, about WORKS. One is a WORK of your OWN RIGHTEOUSNESS OR GOOD DEEDS, and the other is a WORK OF FAITH
If I buy you a cake and tell you to come to get it, and you refuse to, then you won't have the cake even though it's been fully paid for. Christ paid the full price for our salvation. If we refuse to come to him and obey Acts 2:38 as they did, how shall we receive his salvation?
Noah believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN WORKED OR OBEYED TO BUILD THE ARK TO BE SAVED. LOT believed or had FAITH, BUT THEN OBEYED AND LEFT SODOM. This is why Jesus said, He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. We must believe and obey Acts 2:38. All scriptures have to harmonize together.

BAPTISM, have you been dipped and have you heard the rambling, foaming at the mouth religious fanatics babbling away in "tongues" and been impressed by their circus?
Well it's all show business to lure you into their circle and indoctrinate you with feelings of belonging and fake love, if you fall for their act and become one of the flock it won't be long before they begin fleecing you, they'll promise you a house in Heaven and an eternity of bliss but it's all a confidence trick, once you have fallen for their sales talk you'll be expected to draw all your friends and family into the group and they in turn will be fleeced.
Religion is the most lucrative business on Earth and there's all sorts of tricks to keep you within the church and donating and recruiting.
The leaders of the Christian cults don't believe a word of what they're telling you, they might seem soft spoken and persuasive but they have to be that way to conduct their business, no matter how down to Earth and humble they seem, money is their motive.
Once under their control people find it difficult to escape because they have been filled with guilt and fear, the lucky ones see through the facade and walk away with a new perspective, one that doesn't include an invisible Skydaddy watching them 24/7.

“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
