2023 BRAND NEW Teyes CC3 with 2K Screen - Did the Best Just Get Better? Flagship Android Head Unit

Hi all (again). I am trying to find information about the TPMS system, I saw an older video from you @SaabUnlaeashed, where you talked about swapping the original TPMS sensors for the T'Eyes ones. Did that impact the Saab's own TPMS warning system i.e. flashing the tire warning light on your dash? I have sent a question to T'eyes Australia, but the first response didn't answer my question. I have described my question more clearly (I hope😁) to them so I am waiting for the answer to that too. The optimum solution would be to have the T'Eyes TPMS module recognize the original Subaru (in my case) sensors. I live in Sweden so I need two sets of wheels for summer/winter so if I go for the full T'Eyes system I'd need 4 extra sensors.
While I'm rambling about TPMS, does anyone know if the module/software can remember two sets of wheels, or if I will need to relearn the system every winter/summer wheel change?

I'm particularly interested in integration with steering wheel controls and if there is any "bonus functionality" like ACC control etc? In my view the Teyes is a grossly overpriced HU hence there is higher spec HU in the universe with better spec and nearly 50% of the price tag. Software is central but 50% higher price at a gross average is too much.

One of the most frustrating issues I keep running into is that most of the Android units do not have an input for siriusxm..Is there a reason for that past "just use the app"? I dont mind using the app, but I really dont want to be forced to tether my phone. I HATE this thing. I've had nothing but frustration with mine. It'll work great for weeks, and then suddenly, for no reason, lose some functions or change some settings. There is no support available, and the settings menus are an indescribable maze as if I could ever figure out how to undo the crap this thing does to itself. A total piece of crap. Avoid at all costs.

Do you know if the 2k can be converted to a single din like the original cc3?

Do you know if there's a way to invert the split screen menu in Apple CarPlay when you see both navigation and music playing in order to have the navigation tab closer to the driver instead of the passenger? I saw another head unit (Mazda OEM with CarPlay) when these two tabs were inverted but I can't find any info about it

For the CC3 2K head unit, did you have to purchase the CC3 2K Upgrade package?

After doing some research, I'll share the reasons I went for the 720p CC2 instead. This is a head unit. I need to be able to see and press anything on the screen easily, especially in traffic, on the highway, on bad roads, etc. The least amount of time I have to look at it, the better. In this regard I prefer the icons and everything else being overall larger, and if it's smaller I'd zoom it so it scales and is usable even when the road causes vibrations and amplitudes and my hand goes up and down. Last but not least, most of Teyes line up is running on the exactly same SoC. This means with the increased resolution, the SoC needs to run harder to show the extra pixels and content, and from performance perspective puts it in a disadvantage to the 720p counterparts. It would be a whole other thing if they went with a more recent, more powerful SoC. But this - nope.
Why CC2 you say? Aside from the 2K screen, CC3 has literally no other advantage. The things it has in addition are a gyroscope and an additional audio processor for a total of 2. There are few people who would get any advantage out of this, and in very specific situations. CC3 can record from the rear camera, but I already got that covered with a separate DVR front and rear, while CC3 gets complicated (360) if you want the same. CC3 costs 150+ euro more than CC2 and SoC, software, functions are identical. It's like an iPhone - newer, the same, but pricier. I initially considered Spro (same SoC and software) but it has an IPS screen which is a bit washed out in comparison to CC2 CC3 QLED screen, and the price difference is tiny to get the QLED, also it has an active fan (CC2) which is a plus. Yes, content appears better on 2k QLED, but I will be DRIVING. And the bezel difference is so negligible that it's laughable, at most 2 millimeters and due to the form factor it will be cropped out anyway. If I am shopping for a hand-held tablet for content and media, I'll look for resolution and "shiny". But a reminder this is a head unit. Shop smart.

I agree Dan is fantastic. He patiently answered all my questions and I was able to install CC3 in my car without much issues at all. The harness that worked for 2014 Toyota Sienna Limited, did not have Port-C cable. If I want to remove OEM JBL and install amplifier and new speakers how should I go about it. Any recommendations / suggestions would be much appreciated.

I’ve been disappointed in all the random faults this unit has. Mine often refuses to connect to my phone through Carlink, and never can keep its date and time settings for more than a day or two. Also, some of the CarPlay apps randomly fail to respond. Very frustrating, not to mention the mic issue.

Please do a video as soon as this 2k version can work for the 360 camera it's a deal breaker for me thanks

These videos are great and i feel well informed to buy a android head unit. I have a question. Will any of these units have a problem with tethering to my phone for data?. Any restrictions to doing it this way?. As i dont want to pay for another sim/data plan if not needed.. thanks.

Unit looks great but just a note: In the time it took to ask a question of T'eyes support and receive a reply the price, of the already costly unit, had risen by close to 23%. I'm going elsewhere, be very wary of companies that do this (NB: the price rise in a little over a week cannot in any way be attributed to exchange rates)

Will teyes make an update to android 12 os with these head units?

The greater detail on the new 2k is fine, but what if I don’t want the time text and the more number of icons? When running a car it’s important to find items fast, like carplay has few and bigger icons. Android auto looks more like a phone.
Can the unit be set so the 2k is used to get sharper image but still keep bigger icons?

Hi, just a quick question. I have the CC3 model but have had lots of issues with the microphone when I am talking. On the phone to someone, it is really quiet at their end. I have also had a second unit and still have the same problem any ideas?

The size of the icons on the old unit is better. Having super shaper icons is great but sucks if they're tiny. What's the point. They need to build a scaler for none native apps.

Quick question - just ordered one of these. Can you use Android based offline satnav apps or do they have to be written for android auto?

I have played around with Android Auto developer settings on the phone (Note 20 Ultra), but this does not seem to work.

I have to say, on CC3, even though i had LTE in there, the gps would get lost, it would go of road and had a mind of its own.... which was a bummer..
LTE portion on the unit worked out great for streaming music, digital music output though spdf and coax was great minus downside of under 20hz was a huge cut off which it wasn't good for many of audio users.

Is t'eyes implementing monitization? fee based sub or something. GOt a message popping up on the unit yesterday. said i got pro version up until 2025...
