It would be awesome if platinum HO diesels were available.... anywhere
ОтветитьThis is a dumb test. The off road guy doesn’t buy a 350 to go off roading. They buy a 350 to tow something and get the off road package to tow in snow conditions or maybe a horse area with a tad bit of mud
Most off road guys get a 150 or raptor
That is the same size tire the 2004 Nissan Titan with the off-road package came with. Plenty of sidewall there for a nice ride.
ОтветитьI just can't get over how ugly the grill & headlights of those new superduty trucks look. It's definitely a generation to avoid IMO...
ОтветитьCan you get cloth or power cloth seats with the xl off road package? I wish ford would let you custom order one with a nice interior and base exterior because people customize the outside anyway
ОтветитьTheres no way the tremor makes sense over the xl off road.
ОтветитьPretty large difference in diesel vs gas front weight. Which greatly affects off road ability. An extreme example is my 92 dodge with little 318. It’s an off road beast. Weighs nothing and just floats around on top of everything. My duramax… not so much… I really like it better when comparisons are 1-1 but still thank you for the video. And neat to see the new options
ОтветитьFord really needs to goto school at Porsche design and learn the art of instrumentation design! These gauges look like they were done by 6th graders with bar graphs!!! And on a $80K truck - you expect people to suck it up Ford???!!!
ОтветитьI wanted to save up for the way by the time I’m 16!
ОтветитьAndre you always seem to go with the cheapest options not always the best options but people don't always want the cheapest all of the time
Ответить‘Dre is really working out his YouToob jazz hands.
Lol, calm down buddy.
Why are you off-roading with a 7,000lbs truck?
ОтветитьWell if Ford has setup the test it’s biased.
Also, no need to say “35inch tall tyres”. Just “35inch tyres” will do it as it’s a diameter not a height. It has nothing to do with how high they are.
whats the towing capacity
ОтветитьFord just can’t get the front end of the super duty’s right
ОтветитьRunning board? I thought those were Nerf bars.
ОтветитьI believe that an xl ford is good.
Ответитьwhy not a full brush guard
ОтветитьGimme that truck for a full week. I’ll test it out for sure. It won’t look pretty like it does in this video. But it will look a lot better covered in mud 😎
ОтветитьFinally a interesting video to watch
ОтветитьThose tires look like old school snow tires
ОтветитьI’ve got the 2023 xlt f350 tremor so far I’m liking it. Nice you showed the operation of the different modes I haven’t tried the trail mode yet.
ОтветитьPurpose built for almost every Utility/Gov't agency west of the Rockies. HO diesel doesn't make any sense to me in this application whatsoever... may as well be an anchor
ОтветитьLove the look of this truck and Ford has knocked it outta the park with the engine options
ОтветитьProps to Ford for giving you a challenging course, instead of just making it really easily so that way it would never show their trucks getting stuck. That's awesome.
ОтветитьTesting like this is why trucks outsell cars. Besides the cargo advantage. This is just fun. I destroyed a stock 93 ford 4x2 by doing jumps and off roading that it was NOT set up to do. I PAID for it but it was an absolute addicting blast. As well as an occasional trip to the local landfill. Nothing but an huge pile of dirt. The tires were the same Firestone tires which lost tread while on the Ford Explorer. They worked incredibly well on my pick-up for years.
ОтветитьThose side steps are so terrible. Yuk.
ОтветитьTremor for me!!
ОтветитьI have been going offroad long before any of these packages ever existed.
ОтветитьExcellent offroad course. Now I want to see a base model truck with open differentials try that course. Some of us (myself included) bought trucks with open differentials because we didn't know any better. Some of us simply couldn't afford the extra goodies. Knowing a properly equipped truck will run rings around a truck with open differentials on a course like this, I still want to see what a modern base model 4x4 with open differentials can really do.
ОтветитьThey should have the locker in the front and a torsion in the rear or front and rear locker
ОтветитьNice work Ford and TFL! I know we have been pushing our 23 Tremor off road vs our 21 Raptor!
ОтветитьImo, these new truck front ends are getting uglier every year.
ОтветитьLariat Tremor w black out/color matched and a 7.3. No diesel. Light enough for the trails and offroad and still pulls 16K. Perfect for us!!
ОтветитьAnd just to think, the Tremor package was originally an upgraded Sony stereo package in a Ranger.
ОтветитьThe ford guy was knowledgeable and funny. Ford should use him more
ОтветитьStill way too expensive…a base model truck shouldn’t cost 50/60k
ОтветитьA f350 with dig function haha! Insanity
ОтветитьBut will you get the high output or the regular 6.8 power stroke?
ОтветитьXL 6.8L
ОтветитьTremor ! Lmao , these names are hilarious . All these new trucks are crap
ОтветитьI own the Tremor you showed in this video, in Carbonized Gray, and I really enjoyed you showing how some of its features that I have not used yet work. Such as the Trail Turn Assist.
ОтветитьAwesome comparison and test track! So they say it can ford 30 in of water, Just curious where would they have ran the vet lines up to??
ОтветитьInstead of buying a 50k base truck with a few offroad bits I'd rather buy a 2015-2019 used lariat or higher and add more offroad goodies than the new Ford.
I just bought a 2012 F-250 Lariat 4x4 with 101,000 miles, and plan on doing offroad goodies. Total build price should be 30k. The truck was 23k.
Something for everyone I guess.
I thought the F-350 was an on-road duelly towing based truck, and the F-150 and 250 were the offroaders...
ОтветитьI would love to take my Ranger XLT, I am pretty sure it would handle that coarse just fine, I have a few mods :)
ОтветитьI have an 86 chevy k20 that will do all of that and more, new trucks with the traction control and rev limiter all suck, mine has 210hp and will do all of what you did
ОтветитьGreat review Andre, now lets discuss the insanity in pricing and 10 year loans that will be needed for the blue collar worker that needs a 1300 month payment. 😮😮😮. Lets hope manufactures bring back steep incentives and dealers assist with cash hold back and repeat loyal customer rebate programs. This is how you move forward.......
ОтветитьThis is excellent. Seriously rough off rd courses to make trucks the most durable & efficient. Very impressive!
ОтветитьThe engine made a bigger difference than the tires when you went through the rutted up spot. The 33's and 35's both had enough grip. The XL just had an extra 750 pounds worth of engine in the front. A lot of people don't realize the difference weight makes
Ответить
