I think the true intention of Celia want the help is because she want a friend to accompany her in the big house while her husband away.

Its the little things about Celia that you cant help but love. Like when she thought Minnie didnt want to work for her but still offered to give her bus fare. She was so sweet hearted

I love that she even offered to pay for her bus to go back.

I love how one of the first things she does is offer her a cold drink. There are a lot of terrible people that treat the maids like crap, it's nice to have the character that's just genuinly a nice person because that's how she is.

When i watch The Help for a first time. I feel pity on Celia bc she lonely and got treated mean by Hilly and her friends. With a help from Skeeter. She meet a Minny as a new maid. In that way she befriended with Minny. I like her so much when she treats equality.

My mother works for a cleaning company. She is rarely offered a coffee or glass of water but people seem to do it for builders, window cleaners and plumbers! I love that miss Celia offer her travel and a drink when she arrived. It doesn’t happen today!

I really liked that Minny found work with Celia. After what she went through with Hilly, I was glad she found a kind boss who really appreciated her.

It hits hard realizing Minnie was asking Celia about when she was going to start having babies with the roses in the background. Celia needed a friend more than she needed anything else, she was so lonely and scared and Johnny knew it but didn't know how to help her on his own.

I love how Celia shows that regardless of the time period in American history. There’s always been white people that think racism and white superiority is fucking stupid. Celia treated Minnie as an employee and a dear friend nothing more.

Celia was the best, least racist character on this whole show. I really wanted her to bear that man a child. She deserved to be a mother so much more than most of those others
