500 Battanian Fian Champions vs 500 Legionaries - Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord

Fian champions are just stupid. Absolutely broken. . Archers should not be that OP in melee.

I never use cavalry. Never did in nearly 1000 hours of warband either. For bannerlord, an army of 40% wildlings and 60% fian champions kicks ass, with a group of strong mounted companions and your own character to skirmish enemy cavalry. I would say Khuzaits are kind of an issue, but a mass of fian champions always beats a circling horde of khuzait horse archers eventually. "F1 + F3 every time." -sun tzu

There is nothing that can whoop Khuzait Khans Guard. Those chads can kill literally anything in Bannerlord it's insane

The second fight wasn't meelee only, it looked like there was a volley of javelins before the lines hit

Strong, accurate ranged attacks and powerful meelee is all you need. Horse men deal weak damage with hit n run, shield men one handed doesnt kill fast enough, heavy weapons infanty got no protection.

That's why I always deploy Fian Champions, Sturgian Crossbow and Legionaries + Heavy Catapract as my army. Their KD ratio even before they could hit my line is ridiculous.

How is this even fair. Hehe. Fian are good archers and they have that powerful two handed weapon. Even cavs are no match for them.

Legionnaires used their pila and the Fians still nearly won. Nothing can replace Celtic anger
