Thanks for telling the difference between plating a Kanjivaram and Banarasi saree ma'am. I live in Bangalore and every North Indian wears the sarees with plates on waist even in georgette sarees which makes it look odd as the lower part of the plates doesn't set as required. Thanku very much to clear the confusion atleast for me.

I tried wearing a silk saree but it wasn’t neat near the hips. It looked a little blown up. And post roll press the saree crease makes it difficult to make the lower pleats.
