Ooh, I have a marriage question. I saw this happen in the hall near my brother's wedding reception. A female manager was upset with a caterer, who had signed up for a one-person shift. She said she didn't think he could manage the service alone. She was sternly all, "I've told you not to sign up for shifts by yourself, I've been very clear about that, I don't know how much clearer I can get for you to listen. You need someone there to give you instructions and guide you." And then the caterer said, "You know, I'm beginning to see why you work so many wedding receptions." What does his comeback mean? the government has basically determined that marriage is illegal, or at least meaningless. it's not much of a life-long commitment if you can legally get divorced the next day, so don't delude yourself into thinking the contract has any power to make your relationship great or to keep you together - it doesn't. and, weddings are like proms in that they're just an excuse for women to dress up. maybe it was cool 100 years ago when everyone was a farmer but women get all dolled up multiple times a week these days so save your time and money and don't bother with a wedding.

As far as keeping physical boundaries, here is how I see it. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Treat each other as a brother and sister in Christ.
They are your brother or your sister. So, when it comes to doing things physical, ask yourself, would you do this thing with your girlfriend with your actual sister?
We remain brothers and sisters in Christ and we should treat each other as such. It’s not until God unites us into one flesh that we can become intimate physically. Think of it, two becoming one. You become connected, both physically and emotionally.

I agree with you guys but this priority with each other also includes not making the workplace a first priority either, a lot of people who have careers kind of think this is ok and it can get in the way of being close and letting other things in your relationship.

I didn't know about cleaning the lint out of the dryer until my freshman year of college. I probably drove my poor momma crazy, haha. Thank you for being so genuine and uplifting Sadie. You should be able to talk about girls on a guys social media at whatever point in time of the relationship bc that’s a cause for concern. A guy wouldn’t want you messaging other guys or having sexual guys on your social media, so what’s the difference from having interest in other women? I think Christian’s make excuses for this and it’s really a shame considering they are Christian’s. If you love someone you’re not interested in looking at other women and same in reverse if you love someone you are not interested in looking at other men. It’s really that simple. If he’s interested in having women on his social media like that then he’s not the one sis. You shouldn’t have to talk about that after you’re engaged that should be confronted immediately!

I appreciate this perspective on life and Jesus. What I don’t get is how these folks who believe in these principles so strongly supported/support a man who lived up to none of these ideals. I get he appointed judges who hold these ideals but if you truly believe in these ideals how do you support someone who never and will never support them?
