A fellow bus nut friend I knew years ago told me that the film company bought three identical buses from his inventory for the main 2525 bus.

The first bus explosion: There is a truck in front of the bus as it is leaving and you can clearly see a long tow strap attach between the truck and the bus.

The aerial shot of the bus going down the highway: You can see a full size van just ahead of the bus which has the back doors wide open or removed and tou can see two camera crew membwrs and a large commercial camera pointed at the front of the bus.

Along the highway, an arial shot shows a large commercial camera and crew members at the top of the frame, pointed at the bus as it passes their location.

I cannot describe the sheer joy I felt when the first outtake was a Silence of the Lambs reference.

Just rewatched the movie. One sin is incorrect! The LAPD did not tell the helicopters to stop. Or, they did but they didn’t listen. It said that once they got to the airport it was restricted air/flight space so he wouldn’t have eyes on them anymore. So, the helicopters legally couldn’t follow them there. Granted, the reporters could have broke the law like they do all the time. And if that was the case, idk why they didn’t start moving the passengers. They were at the airport for a while before he realized he could see inside the bus. Sooo a possible -1, but it would also mean another +2? Lol

Sandra Bullock is just insufferable in this movie, she might be a nice person in real life, but I just really didn't like her in Speed, PS Her Chemistry with the main character was awful.
