There are three reasons why this won't happen in South Africa.
1. Half the traffic lights are nearly always out.
2. Many people don't follow traffic rules.
3. There are two many pits (not potholes, pits) to allow high speed driving without wrecking the front half of your vehicle after 3 or 4 blocks.
