I went to Italy (Rome) when I was 13 and while I love it, I wish I appreciated it more. Luckily, I'm planning on going again this summer. I'm only Italian-American, but I've been extremely fascinated with Italy and Italian culture. I've been doing more research about local customs and I'm taking an Italian class in college right now. I'm even getting more obsessed with Italian music (especially Gigi D'Agostino and Eiffel 65, they're the GOAT's of Italian music) I can't wait to go with a new appreciation for the country.

In Italy we call terroni the People of the sud in an offensive way: in Italy terra mean dirt, and farmer have a pretty bad reputation, at least in my zone (Emilia),
because they own land.

Great country, the problem is about the people. They always complain about everything until someone else complains. Do you want an Italian stop complaining? Just speak bad about something he dislikes of his country, and magically it will become the best thing in the world.
You can find them under every video about something Italian being proud of everything of their country, then they complain when you tell them it's a great and beautiful country: "what??? are you serious? You don't live here, it's awful here, I want to live abroad".

Terroni It was a nickname given by the North italian,that means"people who works the land/earth". Terra=earth (i'm italian)

Terroni comes from the word terra which means the ground and earth because they mostly work with the ground. Btw never call a southern Italian a terrone because it is very offensive.

Venezia is not on the Po river, apart from that very nice fast paaced informative video :)
