Can you use a thumbnail of your thumb if you put a face on it?
ОтветитьYou are glorious! In every way, my dear!! Thank you for your time to offer your input on this discussion topic!
ОтветитьThis video was very informative and helpful. I started a YT channel wanting to vlog my writing journey, but I haven’t made many videos. My biggest issue is allowing the negativity to fill my head. While watching your video, an topic idea popped into my head. 😊

I'm really appreciating your videos, Bethany, thank you for sharing. Also, hi from a fellow "so" addict! (Although I'm not from Minnesota, I picked it up while working for a large Fortune 100 company, maybe we got infected by Minnesotans, lol). Great tips! So far on my channel (which is calculator videos, nothing to do with my author side) I haven't shown my face in the thumbnails. These are for students searching for specific help, and I've loaded them up with search terms. Thinking ahead to an author channel, though, having thumbnails with one's face seems a great tip for the young and attractive, but is it actually all that helpful if I'm neither?
ОтветитьI’ve recently started an AuthorTube channel and your videos are so helpful.x
ОтветитьSo helpful! Thank you for sharing :) I also watch Kelly Stamps and really enjoy her videos! Another video I'd love to see you make, that you mentioned in the beginning of the video, is how you make your thumbnails on Canva. But, for the meantime I'll check out the Canva video you do have up!
ОтветитьI loved what you said about clickbait! I hate it when I feel like I've been lied too for views 🙄
I don't know if you had enough interest in this for it, but I'd love to see more of these videos for a small series or something!
Thank you for this! I figured out that my face is better for the thumbnail when I posted a few without it and had very little interest! 😂 I have a question…. I post author videos, Bible chat videos and planning videos, would it be better for me to have 3 separate channels instead of lumping them all together?
ОтветитьSuch helpful tips, thanks for sharing! Regarding vlogs, I have searched for Day In The Life (DITL) x. So an example, DITL writer, DITL author with baby, DITL professional athlete, etc.
ОтветитьThank you so much! Really helpful tips💯
ОтветитьWow. There's a ton in there. A lot of your topics could have been 30 minute videos all by themselves. Thank you for sharing your tips. I'll definitely start using them right away
ОтветитьMore more more please please please 😀
ОтветитьThank you for this video and the links in the description! It is so helpful! I feel I have learned so much from you over the past year as I've started my author journey! 💚
ОтветитьThank you for the video! I am technically an author (I have published four coloring books on Amazon KDP) but I haven't published any of my novels (yet). Working with an editor now, looking forward to making my story better :) I might get into doing more authortube related videos myself, as I do love to write my drafts, work on revisions/edits and am going to self-publish (hopefully soon) my novel(s) and new coloring books. :)
ОтветитьHi Bethany, watching from Kenya. I love your videos and this one is gold. Super informative and helpful. Thank you!
ОтветитьI loved this video. I used to do YT videos but I got out of it bc I felt like they wasn’t being watched and I wasn’t growing. I have been reconsidering lately about possibly coming back. I just have no clue about my content. The failure before made me think my ideas wasn’t good enough.
ОтветитьAs always fabulous content, helpful and honest, more please.
Ответитьare there tips on how to speak clearly when you have speech problems? I actually speak through my nose instead of my mouth so people would sometimes have a hard time understanding me 😅 and what kind of video editors do you recommend? but how do you know what interesting part to edits what to leave?
ОтветитьThis has been invaluable! Thank you so much for all the information! I would love to know more about the business side of things because I just set up my LLC but things like Business credit cards and taxes - I'm still learning specifically when it comes to the author business. I would love to know more about that and gain your insight into the author's side of business!
ОтветитьI'm on AuthorTok talking about writing screenplays and writing poetry. And making relatable content. I post weekly because I just get overwhelmed at times
ОтветитьI love Canva I use it to make temporary covers for my books along with iG content!
ОтветитьI started my writing channel this year. I'm fascinated about what works and what doesn't. I've been doing my music channel for over 2 years now. This is really interesting. :)
ОтветитьI have a question. I have a cowoker that had a baby girl and offered to babysit her. My question for you can I take my laptop so I can try to write while she's sleeping and during her nap times or should I just leave my computer at home? Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat advice. I follow Think Media's content more than the rest, but have heard of the others. Kelly Stamps is a hoot.
ОтветитьI have been struggling with how to get myself out there. For a long time i have hid behind my brand name mommy scribbles for my books but recently i have been thinking about starting an Authortube channel with my name. I just have so many ideas that i keep going back and forth cause i dont know who my audience is. Is it reluctant writers or is it homeschoolers or even still is it authors? So many questions for me to think about. But authortube seems to make more sense. Thank you for this video :) ps baby is super cute!!
ОтветитьSuper helpful! And at the exact right time. ❤ I am already scripting my first video. I will for sure be checking out the canva videos you have but any others you wanna make will be appreciated. I feel so overwhelmed by canva lol
ОтветитьI've been watching you on and off for about a year as a fellow Author Tuber who focuses on memoir writing. Thanks for these tips. It's great to get a peak into what you do and how you do it. You are right, getting used to speaking to the camera feels so awkward to start and it only improves with practice. I appreciate this video!
ОтветитьAmazing video. Thanks
ОтветитьI guess I’m the one weirdo searching for tag videos 😂
Ответитьcan you do a video about the different writing tenses? (first person past, Third person present, and more) do you have a preferred tense and a reason why? what would you suggest for a beginner novel writer in the fiction genre? thank you in advance.
