Rhino Is The Most Overpowered Warframe

8 months ago I made a Rhino video, showcasing how Rhino was a frame that received little changes and performed quite well year after year, and while this is still true post duviri, I was under the impression that Rhino and his synergies were power crept per say, dismissing Stomp as a 'meh' CC ability. That couldn't be further from the truth... so allow me to explain why Rhino is so overpowered.

Mesmer Skin is better than Iron Skin for a few reasons
1. Mesmer Skin scales higher, infinitely higher. No matter what the damage dealt is, it can only ever remove 1 stack of Mesmer Skin. Revenant is the ENDURANCE focused tank for this reason.
2. Mesmer Skin grants a hidden immortality passive. While Mesmer Skin is active, you CANNOT drop below 2 hp BY ANY MEANS. This means even a toxin proc that bypassed Mesmer Skin AND your Shields is unable to kill you.
3. Mesmer Skin takes FAR LESS setup to use. Simply press 2 and carry on. Iron Skin requires you to buff your armor up to the moon, typically involving a Helminth ability.

This means Mesmer Skin is simply a better ability than Iron Skin (which is still a WAY better ability than Warding Halo...idk how Nezha is considered by the community as a whole as a better tank than Rhino). Furthermore, Revenant, as a frame, has 3 other MASSIVE advantages over Rhino.
1. Revenant is NOT MAD (Multiple Ability Score Dependent). Rhino wants high Range, Duration, AND Strength. Revenant wants at least 60% Duration and Strength. This makes modding him significantly simpler and provides many more flex spots.
2. Revenant has a SPECIFIC break point for his primary stat (250% Strength), while Rhino simply wants as much as you can fit while also building for other stats. This, again, makes modding him MUCH simpler than modding Rhino.
3. Due to Roar being a faction damage bonus, the size of the buff is largely irrelevant as it is often adding a new multiplier or boosting the hardest multiplier to obtain a boost to AND it gets double dipped on damage over time effects. This means the fact that the helminth version of Roar is diminished, is completely irrelevant, even at level cap. (side note: Xata's Whisper is in contention with Roar for best buff, Eclipse is too inconsistent to compete with them, but due to the unique ways they multiply our weapon damage, they both have a claim for top spot, I give a slight edge to Xata's as it double dips other multipliers, such as Devouring Attrition on incarnon weapons, headshot multipliers, faction damage bonuses, and elemental mods)

I have intentionally not, yet, mentioned that Revenant's Enthrall and Reave have a combo that, at 250% Strength) can 1 shot any enemy that can be affected by Enthrall (except acolytes, but you can just pass through them repeatedly to melt them or shoot them since Enthrall removes their damage attenuation and flat DR). The reason for the Omission until now was simple, I believe thiis synergy is insanely powerful, but, also, believe that Rhino's Stomp and Roar are, while not quite equally, similarly powerful, albeit, more widely applicable due to the HOARD aspect of this hoard shooter. I hope I have adequately explained why Revenant is considered the tankiest frame and shown that, while I agree with the previous statement, Rhino and Revenant have different purposes. Revenant is geared towards endurance while Rhino is your generalist tank. Shines in every mission type, albeit, less brightly than Revenant shines in endurance. This is, simply, a difference of niche vs generalist frame.

Love the review. I just started playing again amd have been figureing out the changes.(stomp used to do the time warp but also could nuke with damage, if that dates me) would it be possible to see the build your tallking about itself?

I wish DE made a new augment for rhino that would give a a multiplication factor that is scalable with strenght which would multiply the damage absorbed into iron skin hp instead of it just beeing 1:1 ratio

I could be wrong, but I think also when enemies are suspended by stomp that counts as a “lifted” status effect, which counts towards mods/buffs like condition overload and the Galv.Apt. Mods. I couldn’t confirm this via the wiki tho

I was a rhino hater, but I must admit I was wrong. He's not overpowered (in comparison) but after playing around with him he's definitely better than I thought and might become my main. He isn't as much of an easy to use tank as Revenant and he isn't as much of a crazy damage buffer as Saryn but he is tanky enough and the buffs are good enough to the point that he is really pleasant to use.

Stomp has limited range, Stomp needs to be well positioned. Silence can do almost everything stomp does at a greater range and also grants stealth damage multipliers, every automatic weapon trivializes Nullifiers right now. You're overrating Stomp a bit

Rhino is not overpowered. I give you high b low a teir but sayrn, rev, wisp, khora and gauss are in completely different leagues even with just base kits

Replace stomp with pull and use Ironclad Charge, you get insane amount of armor and insane thick iron skin, recast Iron Shrapnel, boom enemy surround you kaput.

The only downside of rhino is the mediocre fashion that he has access too Looking at both palatine and the bug deluxe being honestly quite stinky .

Not trying to hate, but when you create a video about a warframe, comparing them to other warframes is a serious mistake. It’s telling people which warframe to play and presents an argumentative pov. Warframe showcases should to only show how good they are or can be, not how better they are than others.

Iron Shrapnel and Piercing Roar definitely need tune-ups. Refreshing abilities should never cost a mod slot, but you are correct that this isn't a make or break issue.

I would offer a rebuttal to that section of the video by saying that Rhino doesn't do well without augments. He needs at least one, but it's up to you which that is.

Now we just need a massive glow-up for his elemental, raw damage counterpart: Dragon Boy Chroma.

Would it have killed you to share even ONE build. I was convinced early on, and then kept skipping until the end.

Also, since Iron skin got changed to Over guard, it doesn't deactivate when you go into a null bubble
