My friend has not slept well since the war broke down😢. War is a torment to both countries, and everyone affected. Prayers…

Just can't help not reminiscing my sweet memories of the toko. Back in the early 70's my good friend and neighbor was envious that my parents both work in our town and are always at home every night. His dad work far away in Palawan and that was the era before electricity and any form of communication other than air mail. There was no way to know if his dad is coming for a week end off. So on Friday evening we will chill in their front yard by the guava tree with his older sister while his mom and other siblings are inside their house. When the Toko starts calling "toko" they would start their pick "he comes home, he does not, he comes home, he does not" after every call until the final call. Most of the time the toko is wrong and a few times the toko is right. Sweet memories. Their dad and my dad are both gone now a decade ago.

Very slow pace of provincial life. A lot of Filipino families are conglomerating in the cities because it has so much fun they like. Even though they live in a very impoverished area like squatters. I hope Boris and her mother will continue to accept a quiet life of the province with good fresh air and abundant tropical fruits and vegetables.

Cute toko they are Good pet you don't need to take care of them plus they help eat ants and small insects inside the house. 👍

We have more than 5 gecko in our house 😅 we love them because they kill cockroaches and other insects
