Option is greyed out, PIN can not be removed.
ОтветитьEvery time I turned off "only allow Windows Hellow sign-in" setting and reopened the window it was turned back on. I ended up turning the setting off then changed my pin and the option to remove pin was finally there! Hope this works for others this BS was infuriating!
ОтветитьOutdated vid sadly. None of this works.
Ответитьyour the man, THANKYOU.
ОтветитьThis actually worked, it will get rid of the pin, but then you will need to disable the Microsoft password. What a pain in the rear, but this will get you started:
1. Use the Windows 11 keyboard shortcut “Windows + I” to open Settings.
2. Move to the “Accounts” section in the left menu.
3. Scroll down and click on “Sign-in options” in the right pane.
4. Here, expand the “PIN” or “PIN (Windows Hello)” section.
5. Now, if the “Remove” option is greyed out, worry not, and move to the next step.
6. Scroll down and go to the “Additional settings” section. Here, toggle off the “For improved security, only allow Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts on this device (Recommended)” feature.
7. Next, close the window and open Windows settings again.
8. After that, move to Accounts -> Sign-in options -> PIN.
9. Now, you can disable PIN on Windows 11 by clicking on “Remove“.
10. Finally, enter your Microsoft account password, and the PIN will be removed from your Windows 11 PC.
This video works for me. Thank you very, very much for sharing knowledge
ОтветитьThanks for that
Ответитьi dont see the remove option
ОтветитьAh, yes. AI.
ОтветитьI just got my computer like 4 months ago and it has locked me out saying my password is now a pin instead of the password i made. I NEVER made a pin like EVER i dont know why it keeps doing this but my god pc master race is most definitely not the master race lemme tell ya😅
ОтветитьMicrosoft, you have SCREWED UP ROYALLY. I've been in I.T. since I was in my 20's, a LONG time ago, and have trouble following your MAZE of password/pin/sign-in options that are strewn all over everything we touch with no rhyme or reason now. It's a MESS. What was the purpose of confusing users more with a PIN? Shouldn't a PIN be the same as a PASSWORD, essentially? I'm so sick of Microsoft that I could puke, and they're getting worse, now helping the NSA to gather finger prints and bio data! What happens when CHINA buys Microsoft out?!?! Somebody want to TELL ME THIS ?!?! We're SCREWED.
ОтветитьThis thing didnii't work at all ....
While follwing you, this Computer asked for new n old Pw only, there wasn't any third option as in your case Bro
I've done those` two and its still greyed out. What do I do?
ОтветитьNone of these options worked for me. Everything was either remaining grayed out or wasn't turned on to begin with. I am still curved until accessing my private pc at home with a pin.
ОтветитьMy laptio says, your organization requires a PIN and does not show "remove" as an optioon. There is no organization. How do I change it so that a PIN is not required?
ОтветитьOMG Thank you SO MUCH dude...
ОтветитьFking useless, passwordless account already says off.
ОтветитьMine reverted from pin number to asking me for password.
It then put up a box saying to send a Text.
No text arrives.
I cannot disable the password only the pin?
THANKSSSS
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьlife saver
ОтветитьFuck Windows!!!!
Ответитьthis does not work. it’s just asking me for my microsoft password now
Ответитьthat is great thank you so much
ОтветитьIt's telling me I need to download some app to shut it off?
ОтветитьThank you very much sir! Windows 11 has gotten so complicated recently. Now it looks like they just want you to use all their services.
ОтветитьTHANKS, it was greyed out and I didn't know why :)
ОтветитьThank you
Ответить👍.. to your instruction tutorial video . works great.. 👎.. on microsoft for their stupid authentication.
ОтветитьThank you, I hate how having a pin is a forced option
Ответитьthank u so much
ОтветитьI disabled shit hello pin thing, but now it is asking me for microsoft account password instead of that pin every time. Can I just use my PC the way I want to, which is without any freaking security crap?
ОтветитьTo me the best way to access Windows 11 should be to just ask Microsoft to send you a code through your mobile phone. My previous attempts to use a PIN never worked. Nobody knew what the PIN was and I finally had to reset Windows 10 and have geek squad disable the PIN feature. Nobody should have to use a PIN to access an operating system unless they absolutely have to. Google´s PIN system works better. You are asked to decide what your pin is going to be. You set it up. Google then asks you to confirm your pin. Once you have confirmed your pin you can always use it to access your phone.
ОтветитьNeed help, I followed the instructions and my pc doesn't let me remove the PIN.
ОтветитьDidn't work, remove button is still greyed out
ОтветитьTHANK YOU!!!!
ОтветитьWhen I log into my online account, it looks different from yours and I don't have a security tab; only a security info section.
ОтветитьI'm in the third segment of the video. Yours says "Turn off" under passwordless account, but mine says "Turn on." Yet it requires my password.
ОтветитьThanks god I found your tutorial. Thx for this amaizing tut.
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьfucking bs doesnt work dude
ОтветитьThis doesn't work
ОтветитьCould WindowsChimp possibly say 'disable pin in Windows 11' a few more times?
Ответитьthank you-- this worked.
ОтветитьGreat video, thanks!
ОтветитьThank you!!
ОтветитьThis definitely worked for me! Thanks
ОтветитьThis is already outdated and in turn incorrect.
ОтветитьMicrosoft needs to take a page from it's chat gbt and stop making this so complicated
