And despite it being the worst zenith I still want one, provided I find my burn deck. One of these days.
ОтветитьGraham I believe you might be thinking of a puzzle category on Wheel of Fortune with Quick Connect.
Also, would love to see you open a New Phyrexia pack sometime, if someone had been insanely generous to you.
In the end Graham does his best Shriekhorn impression.
Ответить"Guy Pierce Strider" seems like a Wheel of Fortune puzzle.
Ответитьinfect was a huge mistake
ОтветитьI wish this could be a daily thing. It’s so entertaining.
Ответитьwowow this is the most unhinged one of these you've done yet. i love it
ОтветитьI loved this set.
Ответитьthe other Zenith's are also instant-speed cards, for whatever reason the red one is at sorcery speed - possibly because repeatable Fireball at instant was considered a bad idea
ОтветитьCrack! A! Pack!
ОтветитьI’ve always had an affinity for LRR’s Magic content because I also got back into Magic the summer before Scars, actually MBS was my actual first pre-release. At the time, I thought Desert Bus was, hands down, my favorite thing on the internet, and then you guys started doing Magic stuff right when I started caring about Magic stuff again. I’ve been a huge fan ever since. Anyways, thanks for the walk down memory lane
Ответитьit was richard osman's house of games
ОтветитьSpin engine is .01 USD
ОтветитьDoes flensermite like to flense? It might.
Ответитьthis was one of the funniest videos I've seen in a while. oh what I would do to be that naturally funny
ОтветитьOnly Connect does indeed have questions like that sometimes, in the Missing Vowels round. For example: Fairytales mixed with musical acts JC KNDT HBN ST LKN GHDS -> JACK AND THE BEANSTALKING HEADS
ОтветитьI feel that White Zenith was worse than Red Zenith? Remember that it was triple white + X for X 2/2 cats. It was an instant, I'll give it that, but 5 mana for 2 cats at instant speed is... not that great, and beyond that the card might never get cast.
Sure Red isn't as flashy as White, but at least playing it for X=3 to kill one of your opponents creatures is a solid play a good chunk of the time, and you can get it back!
I agree that the others are all generally more exciting and fun.
In defense of Graham's Only Connect reference, they definitely do sometimes do mashup missing vowels rounds, and I'd love to see one on Magic the Gathering lol
ОтветитьOnly kinect ><
ОтветитьI love the casual feel of these. :)
ОтветитьMy sources (scryfall and cardmarket) quote spin engine at 1 respectively 2 cents.
ОтветитьI'm gnot a gnelf. I'm gnot a gnoblin. I'm a gnathosaur!
ОтветитьSo, Spin Engine is priceless you say.
ОтветитьExcuse, please, 'Flensermite' is pronounced like 'Yosemite'
ОтветитьThose ending statements about Red sun's Zenith got a little weird for me since my name is Zeanith... but uh thanks Gram I'm glad to learn I'm at least worthwhile...
ОтветитьI think you were thinking of Richard Osman's House of Games. They have that game that's a mix of two things jammed together.
ОтветитьDonate your spin engine, Graham!
ОтветитьIsn’t the infect counter worth some money?
ОтветитьIt feels kind of lonely being pro-Mirran, people just want their unholy nightmares
ОтветитьWatching this series is like watching a man slowly descend into the depths of madness as he is forced to read small texts from innumerable pieces of cut out cardboard.
And I'm here for every second of it.
Oooh yeah how I loved Virulent Wound, it was in one of my first decks
ОтветитьGraham is wearing a Rez t-shirt. And I wish I owned such a t-shirt.
ОтветитьIt's Richard Osman's House of games. Still a BBC show though, so you're most the way there
ОтветитьHello I am here to engage with this content because I deeply deeply enjoy the madness of the new crack-a-pack series
ОтветитьWaiting for the blind pick crack-a-pack backlog sealed tournament.
ОтветитьThe show Graham was thinking of is 'Richard Osmans House of games' which has a round called 'Answersmash' where they show a picture, then have a question and the answers to both run into each other
ОтветитьAre you thinking of the Answer Smash round from Richard Osman's House of Games (assuming you get that in Canadia, you get Only Connect, so why not?)
ОтветитьHey, Red Sun's Zenith is perfectly OK in commander
ОтветитьI might agree with Graham's notion that Phyrexia was cool, but me having begun my trip through MTG during OG Mirrodin, I chose to stand beside my fellow Mirrans in a heartbeat, through hell and high phyrexian oil. And whether you'd call me a traitor or a clever tactician by weaving a Wurmcoil Engine into the deck, I... came up in top5. The winner was undefeated with insane aggro deck.
Ahem, tangent aside, I'm a Mirran through and through, and while Phyrexia is far more interesting culture... GIT OFF MAH LAWN YA LANKY WEIRDOS WITH YOUR OIL AND WHATNOT!!
I've been playing mtg since 2015 and my 1st pre release was ixalan
ОтветитьYou could say it's the nadir of the Zeniths. I'm not sure why you WOULD say that, but you could say that!
Ответить"This is the worst Zenith!"
It is! But it's red! So I like it regardless!
With "Guy pierce strider"/"actor and magic card", did Graham just....forget that was literally a bit in friday nights?
ОтветитьSpine N Gine
ОтветитьDespite it being
Probably true that Red Sun’s Zenith is probably the worst,
it has always had a special place in my heart.
Mostly because the goblins look very excited about. I want to be that excited about something.
In addition to Richard Osman's House of Games and Wheel of Fortune, that mashup concept was basically the entire point of Chain Reaction, which aired for a few years on GSN in the States... And, having just looked it up, apparently has had like 6 different runs. A couple in the 80s, the 06-07 one I remember, again in 15-16, and apparently, it's back on the air with new episodes now.
ОтветитьOnly connect is good, but the show you are thinking off is Richard Osman's House of Games and the answer smash round
ОтветитьDoes flesnsermite like to flense, or to be flensed?
… it mite.
