ОтветитьYou had me until Boris.
ОтветитьLord and Prince among the 'upper' class? Those are the scum.
Ответитьposh accent?
ОтветитьBoris Johnson's accent is middle class.
ОтветитьThis video is soooo british. I mean "the upper class accent"
ОтветитьIt sounds very closed-mouthed in most words.
ОтветитьI'm an Aussie and went to school in the U.K. I found the various accents could be used to discriminate against people. I lived In Kent during the 70's. A person could be pigeon holed just by the way they spoke in regard to the class system. As an Aussie I was removed from this cultural ism of opportunity. This was still the time of the 11 plus where peoples lives were very much affected by the school they went to, e.g. I asked a kid what he would like to study at university .His response was we are at a secondary modern school and CSE or O levels were about as far as you would get. There were very few kids about 6 who were still in senior school doing A levels. When I here a posh accent to this day I just think generally what WANKERS.
ОтветитьClear and well enunciated English.
ОтветитьThe received accent aka Oxford English, Queen's English was manufactured in the private boarding schools in the 19th century.
ОтветитьElites and privileged
ОтветитьScouse is pretty upper class
ОтветитьKate isnt upper class😂😂😂
ОтветитьBlimey, bloody wankers!
ОтветитьThere was more American English Bashing here than I expected.... Let me just say that all languages change over time. Once a language is removed from it's source, it soon begins to be "different". Different is still valid. Puerto Rico and Argentina speak a different form (dialect) from each other and from the Spanish in Spain, for example.
ОтветитьI've lived in the province of Quebec, Canada two different times. I can understand the French spoken by the news channels because their French is annunciated and spoken more slowly. I have much more trouble understanding my husband's family from the villages around Quebec City. I use the example of someone who speaks English with an accent from the Outback of Australia being hard to understand - very hard!! It's far easier to understand someone who lives in a city in Australia.
ОтветитьEnglish are classists.
ОтветитьIf you are going to speak like that, then you will get duck-taped on the school bench.
ОтветитьI cant help it, force of habit, spent the entire video "doffing" my cap.
ОтветитьI found them all pretty much within range, except Boris. Is he from the north?
ОтветитьJacob Rees Mogg, minister for the 18th century.
ОтветитьThe voices and accents of Terminators who serve WhiteNet, a biological version of SkyNet.
Ответить" BAARTH " ( BATH ) ?
" GRAARSS " ( GRASS ) ?
What infuriates me is their " intrusive Rs ( Arse ) rammed into my face every time they open their alien gobs !
Tom Hiddleston is my crush forever🫰🏼🫰🏼🫰🏼
ОтветитьJacob Rees-Mogg, the Right Honourable Member for the 18th Century.
ОтветитьTossers. 👍🏼
ОтветитьBack in the day, it was just said a person was "Well Spoken"
ОтветитьRuling class. Not 'upper' class. They're not better than the rest of us...just as the working class are not 'lower' class.
ОтветитьSo fkin conceited and patronizing
ОтветитьMost of these people are assholes lol
Ответитьupper class and lower class. thats discrimination.
Ответитьnerds
ОтветитьTodays speech, = somethink =something =😂 we was= we were = 😂 they put it down to accents. Just bad grammer and it doesn't matter how much money people have, as soon as they open their mouths it spoils the whole effect.
ОтветитьThe Princess of Wales is from a middle-class background, but she went to a good school.
Ответитьyep the elites jade
ОтветитьAny native English speaker can choose to talk like this. It's all about verbalising, clearly everything with intent.
ОтветитьJacob Rees-Mogg is the king of educated eloquence to me. All the carefully selected words, all the seemingly effortless classical references… the works.
Ответитьwhelp bro that all sounds the same to me
ОтветитьOh I’m a fan of Jacob Rees-Mogg’s accent
ОтветитьI feel like voluntarily giving all of my belongings to the british museum now
Ответитьlower your voice, open your mouth wide and stick your tongue out
ОтветитьI was born in Sevenoaks in Kent in England. I never saw myself speaking well, but now live in nearly 20 years in France. I’ve had many French and English tell me I am very posh.
I believe it might have something to do in education, but I think it’s a great deal to be around people who articulate well during childhood.
Xue Hua Piao Piao 🎵🎶🎵🎶
ОтветитьAmerican English has clearly altered many or most of the "received pronunciation" accents in this video, including that of the now "King."
ОтветитьThese people just sound smarter than other accents, i don't know that they are but they sound smart !!
ОтветитьAre these all from Britain? Geez, there ARE upper class accents from other English speaking countries.
ОтветитьI wouldn’t necessarily call this upper class. Or at least not exclusively upper class. I grew up in a lower middle class family and my accent is quite similar to a lot of these.
ОтветитьSeriously! Why on earth is this so important?
