Which Pokémon Postgame would Rank Best in the Series?

You could access Route 17 & 18 in B/W before the E4, it's just so out of the way nobody would bother.

I like that Gen 5 was high up that said I think the Gen 4 games (excluding Legends Arceus if that counts) have a worse Post Game then the Gen 1 Remakes (not the originals) because you have to complete the Pokedex to get most of it. At least Let's Go lets you battle the Gym Leaders again easily and lets you fly on Pokemon like Charizard.

I will forever defend GSC as the better postgame to HGSS. The elimination of Kanto's most annoying dungeons -- Viridian Forest, Seafoam Islands, etc. was fantastic. Kanto wasn't as it was in the originals -- it was BETTER! But while that's a super subjective take, in a more serious vein, I feel that HGSS lost a great deal by making it so easy to travel from Kanto to Johto -- you can just fly. Gone is the reason to fix the Magnet Train, or to take the SS Aqua back and forth before then; gone is the feeling of actual separation and great distance that the Gen 2 games instilled. The HGSS Kanto was bigger, but felt smaller.

Really odd takes. First EC says that having a battle tower is not something they care about which gives a game with it a lower score. Then on the very next entry, proceeds to highlight a battle tower as a feature to care about for that entry's post game. Fun video idea but very odd execution.

I would argue the post game to the GBA games were the Stadium games. This would also equate to DLC back in the 90's.

I do feel like if you are including third versions of games, DLC should also be included as the DLC is only to replace the need for third versions

While I love gen 2 (my og gen), I found X & Y's postgame more full of stuff to do. Just wish there was a full battle frontier. The Maison isn't bad though

In my Omega Ruby playthrough, I took like a 6-8hr break before the Victory Road just to explore Soar better and to spice things up, I'm planning on catching Pokémon on routes and trying to locate more of the legends along with the Delta Episode.

I definitely feel like the reason the emerald battle frontier is the best is because there was 7 battle facilities instead of 5 or 1 like the following games plus it's the only one that appeared in the anime

The issue I have with newer Pokémon games is the more recent post game reliance on expecting people to just keep fighting raids… it didn’t make me stick around (until the dlc came out) in sword and shield and it’s not entertaining enough to keep me entertained in Scarlett and violet either. Not to mention the lack of the cities not feeling alive even more than ever…. As apart from the overarching triple storylines which I did enjoy in the main game there was basically NO side content that was considerable in the base game so that makes me dissatisfied with the post game. At least in sword and shield the towns feel somewhat alive(for the most part).

Sorry but for me paldeas postgame is just awfull and considering it is the newest game I would rank it dead last, even worse than OG Gen 1 just because of everything we already got and had removed since, yes sword and shield also were pretty bad but the dlc redeemt it a bit so there is hope.

Violet and Scarlet should be way lower, just for the fact that its supposed to be an "open world" game and it has nothing to offer.. They just let the rivals rot in their dormitory instead of giving us side missions with them... Smh

I strongly disagree with you putting Usum and Oras above BW2 and Legends Arceus and Pokémon platinum and BW.. Also strongly disagree with you putting Platinum Below Black and white. Heartgold and Soulsilver being first place I can agree. Gold and Silver should go above BW.

Personally, I think that you'll be rating scarlet and violet much lower in a few years. I enjoyed playing them, but after I beat them I stopped playing. I'm not a fan of raids, and I found the battle tower and battle cafés in sw/sh much more fun. Overall, this vid makes me want to replay the older games to see if they live up

Frankly I don't consider "lol you can get all legendaries from previous games" good postgame content, it's lazy and it diminishes even further the value of those legendaries. Expecially when it's tied to a generic and repeptitive mechanic instead of at leats having special events for each of them.
I love the delta episode in Omega and Alpha but those two things are not enough to be considered a good postgame in my book, not 2nd place for sure.

I still consider HGSS to be the best mainline pokemon game, period.
I don't even like Gold and Silver that much but HG SS was simply the best experience I ever had with a pokemon game.

Traveling trough kanto some years later in the timeline is, was and will always be awesome.

I spent so much time in HGSS that I have more memories of playing the post game than the main game. As for Platinum, there is so much content that the strategy guide could probably be used as a lethal weapon.

I used to think XY had the best post game, but after seeing this video I kind of agree it was lacking compared to the likes of HGSS and ORAS. I don’t think it’s one of the worst though.

I personally think that GSC's postgame is just bad. The battle against Red is the one great thing about it. Otherwise Kanto is just a gauntlet of boss battles without much else. HGSS's Kanto also isn't the best but the HGSS has so much more than just Kanto.

I’m gonna say that red and blue being the first and barely held together should show that any post game at all is commendable instead of ending it before challenging the elite 4

X Y Looker post game story, left a great impression on me. It was a great, sadly short, good moment.
