I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to take the dog part back off after cutting in order to access the pieces, not try and dig them out through the tiny slot
ОтветитьMaybe you need a skinless hotdog😂😂
ОтветитьHi Dan🎉🎉
ОтветитьI love these vids with Dan and every time they come up think yesssss!.... and every time theres a twisting thing that is round in shape with no grooves/grips/texture or indentation I think... oh you're f'd, Dan's going to hate you
ОтветитьHonestly I worked in a Japanese restaurant with amazing chefs whose knife skills are out of this world. I have seen them cut vegetables with a knife the way the spiral sheet machine does!!!!!
ОтветитьDan; you get a "negative 1 out of 5" for operator competence on the 'Slice Right Melon Slicer'..... If you had looked at the inside curve of the sides you would have noticed 'blade bevels': you were cutting with the *back* of the blade arrangement!! Try it again, and this time TURN IT OVER so that the little pin (that you said should be a blade, but it is!) rides along the inside of the rind-- THEN turn it over to pick out your slice (after having cut them all)..... I have used this gadget on watermelons, honeydews, and cantaloupes for *years* without a single hitch! Also, for the Hasselback 'taters: I have seen a cutting board (@ 7"x14") which had a capsule-shaped depression cut into it (of @ 3"x6"x3/8" deep) to place your potato in, and by using a straighter-cutting blade like a santoku or a cleaver, cut straight down into the spud.... The board stops the blade about 1/4" short of completion, and makes for quick prep! 😊👍
ОтветитьHasselback potatoes got it's name from restaurant Hasselbacken (Hazel hill) in Stockholm, Sweden.
You normally use smaller potatoes than shown here. Drenched in butter and topped with bread crumble, they are baked in the oven until crispy brown.
The point of slicing the potato is not to stuff it, but to make the butter melt down into the potato. Also, when it baked, those slices will separate and create more surface area to be crisped. Same reason you make fries rather than frying whole potatoes.
My old cookbook suggest placing the potato in a wooden spoon while slicing, and that's the way I always did it.
Best potatoes you'll ever eat!
i love this man
ОтветитьI like ketchup, mustard and relish on my hotdog, it tastes good
ОтветитьReally should be rating safety (for kids if they use or come across it in kitchen) and ease of cleaning / storage as well.
Ответитьyour looking at effectivnes how about maintance also. hotdog slicer works slightly faster but i dont think anyone could clean those little holes from pieces of meat faster than a knife.
ОтветитьVery interesting!
ОтветитьHe used the watermelon slicer wrong. Hopefully they give it a second chance. Read the instructions before 😅
ОтветитьThe weenie one I used to have before it broke lol
Ответитьsome people make fun of the bad hand with oil test... but my grandpa had a stroke and half of his body stop working... so he actually had only his left hand left to do anything ( he was right handed )... so that test actually gives you a lot of perspective for elderly people with a disability
ОтветитьYou have used the melon slicer opposite side
ОтветитьNathans hotdogs and Hebrew Nationals work great in the dog, my daughter loved it as a kid.
Ответить💩
ОтветитьHot dogs are for KETCHUP, not mustard. Just sayin.
ОтветитьThis looks a guy that's got rich off other people's ideas.
ОтветитьNever mustard
ОтветитьAnother problem about the hot dog cutter thing is that the blade that cuts the hot dog is made out of plastic and not metal, plastic has been proven to not be very effective when it comes to cutting tough things like a hot dog or even cake.
Ответить1. Who eat sasuage like...? eh garbage. 2. Garbage. 3. Interesting 4. Garbage 5. Garbage
Ответить"I'm redesigning the watermelon which could help" best line xD
ОтветитьMustard with a hot dog? No thanks. Disgusting
ОтветитьHotdog Holder Slicer you fail me! I had really high hopes for you! NOW I will continue to use my knife :(
Ответитьima make a better version of the Slice Right Melon Slicer and call it the Cut Proper Melon Chopper
ОтветитьRaw hotdogs are hard to cut . Try heating it up
ОтветитьI had a moving blade mandoline. It didn't hold up to repeated use. It was the worst cleaning experience I've ever had, it had a tendency to get bits stuck in it and to launch bits everywhere, it didn't feel particularly sturdy, the width setting seemed more of a suggestion, it was noisy to operate, and it felt like the blades went dull rather quickly. I do not recommend. I returned it and got a regular one.
ОтветитьHe might've put the bin for the moving blade mandolin backward. I dunno though.
He might've also been holding the watermelon slicer the wrong way.
I respect Dan's opinions about products usually, but ketchup goes on hotdogs, ketchup has been going on hotdogs for decades!
Ответитьnow hes talking to inanimate objects lol
Ответитьidk if i need a mandoline but now i want to buy it
ОтветитьThis man is my ultimate gadget for falling asleep. I watch him every night and he helps me a lot. Thank you
Ответитьi knew i liked you dan. Ketchup belongs on a burger, but NEVER a hot dog.
ОтветитьI ended up buying the moving blade mandolin. It's fantastic. That's a huge upgrade on the original design.
ОтветитьThat moving blade mandolin is one of the few "revolutionary" kitchen gadgets that seems to actually live up to its hype. Most kitchen unitaskers are gimmicky or barely functional. That mandolin was impressive tho.
ОтветитьJust one look at the Hot Dog Holder Slicer makes me question why it even exists, who on Earth cuts a hot dog like that, even if it did cut properly...?
ОтветитьThe hotdog dog one I feel like for young kids to be more independent in kitchen lol plus it's cute
Ответить"Maybe they designed it in the winter when they couldn't find watermelons?"
The most savage jab Dan has made so far!
Ok but the hot dog looks wrinkly and warped like it was heated and left out to get hard.
ОтветитьI wonder if he would change his review of the melon slicer, he used it as designed? I’ve noticed he doesn’t read the instructions on a lot of the products.
ОтветитьGood God! There is nothing in life that freaks me out more than watching other people use a mandolin.
ОтветитьThe main improvement that i would do in the Hot-Dog Slicer, is change the Plastic Blades into Metal Blades, because they're obviously way more efficient!
Ответить"I mean redesign the watermelon, which could help" AHahah
Ответить
