Finally someone who highlights the importance of your fitness level! A good fitness level is making leraning skiing so much more easier and makes the day on the mountain also way better for every skill level skier!
ОтветитьAdult learners are the cash cows of the ski instruction industry as they are guaranteed to never become an expert who no longer needs lessons. A very astute observation for CARV.
ОтветитьWhat if like me you are 66? Remember older bodies are not as responsive and as supple as younger bodies are, and some exercises to get ready for a season can be hard the older you get.
ОтветитьI got hooked this season during my first lesson at 40 years old. It forced me to go and but all of my great and a season pass. My joy and smile from skiing is priceless. ❤
ОтветитьI took up snowboarding and skiing when I was in my early fifties. I gravitated to skiing, finding it much less difficult. I never did take lessons; I learned with some short (three foot long) skis. For me, the feeling was much like skating. I graduated to the longer skis and seventeen years later, I look forward to winter, rather than dreading it.
ОтветитьEase into it and starts jumping and doing small curves 🙂
ОтветитьHe said it there should be nothing else in your boot other than a thin sock.
ОтветитьLove it. Can't wait to get back on the slopes, and share a beverage afterwards
ОтветитьAhh man I so want to ski again... See you next January hopefully
Ответитьgreat inspiration. I am 52, skiing since I was 4. However I still love skiing like I was a kid. Learning every time I am on the slope. Early in the morning sunny day, fresh air, few people on the slope and full of energy. Nicely tired in the evening but first one on the ski slope next day in the morning (again). :-) that's what the love about skiing is. Yes.
ОтветитьMy mistake was that I tried it the first time at 40 overweight and utterly out of shape. Fitness should be priority.
ОтветитьSo many of the resorts I see in these European videos have such nice wide, open runs. The runs near where I live are narrow.
ОтветитьSmartest thing I ever did in skiing was to buy a helmet
ОтветитьStarted skiing at the age of 26 ... Now I am a ski racer :) (age 31)
ОтветитьLove this
Ответитьokay!! till next time!!
ОтветитьDenn: "Abgerechnet wird am Schluss!"
Ответить😈 Promo-SM!!!
ОтветитьGreat video. Love your rc4 curv.
ОтветитьI already ski but you just motivated the hell out of me to get more fit and get out there!
ОтветитьGreat advice thanks😊
Christian, Question please: should socks be over baselayer pants? Or pants should be shorter?
Thanks
Why adults should learn to ski: balance, coordiantion, reaction and strengthen support muscles. All these factors are huge limits to life when going from adult to elderly. A simple fall at home as an older person is one of the biggest accelerators to inactivity and earlier death. Alpine skiine are one of the few actitivites to brake this.
ОтветитьFab skiing!
ОтветитьI learned as an adult too. Although I went a couple of times with friends when I was between 18 and 48, I started skiing forreal when my son got interested in my 49th year. It's been quite the journey. One must understand that one may never be as good as those who started as children, but skiing is the most wonderful activity I've ever done. It's changed my life in such a positive way :-)
ОтветитьHello Christian! A little off topic… How do you find the The Curv? Is it too demanding for an advanced (not expert) skier or is it a ski which you can push when you want to and ski relaxed when you want to?
Thanks a lot!
Do you have any of your own tips or hacks for first time skiers? Please share in the comments ⬇️⬇️⬇️
ОтветитьGreat video with good advice! 🍻
ОтветитьI learned as an adult and if I can do it, pretty much anyone can do it too.
ОтветитьGreat videos! Going skiing in a few weeks after 2 years of Covid break. I’m an old fashioned short swing skier. Would the carv system help me improve further or is it specifically for people carving. And do you have any referral codes for the carv system you’re promoting?
ОтветитьA glass of beer in the final is fine ))
ОтветитьThat was pretty much me today. Turns depend on weight on the outside ski for each turn. Get over that terror. And bring other leg to parallel by lifting and sliding. Edge control is the golden rule. Tell me i am wrong and ill happily delete.
ОтветитьDear instructor,, believe me I am planning to go for a ski trip as the ski resort is just 35 miles away from my home.. I have made my mind to learn ski professionally as I am getting to addicted to it during my day visit to resort.. your instructions are helping a lot. Love from the other part of the world I.e Indian occupied Kashmir 🏁
