I have one. I sold my 2020 Continental GT and bought this. It's just a much, much better car in every way and BMW customer service is also better than at Bentley.

At around 8 minutes in, Henry talks about how people may notice structural rigidness differences between the coupe and convertible. I have a hard time imagining your typical BMW fan complaining and bemoaning how he/she wish they had never gotten the convertible while touring historic Route 66 across several American states, or racing along Pacific Coast Highway 1 in California, all the while with the top down.

When I was a kid this guy at my mosque had a BMW 850 CSI. I would stop and stare at it whenever I saw it in the parking lot. If I saw this modern M8 I don't think I'd be as full of awe. Maybe that's because I'm not a kid anymore, but maybe it's also because this car isn't as special.

I think you're wrong Henry, the M8 competition should be a coupé, if you want the convertible get the 850i

Instead of the Z4, why couldn't this be the platform of the supra?
Toyota can put a straight six in there and they could have easily made it look exactly like the FT-1. It could have been cool!

IMHO, BMW's product line is all over the place at the moment. Less RWD chassis available in normal performance iterations, still no estate versions of M3 or M5s (despite these series having over 50% sales of estates) and even fewer manual gearbox offered. Lets not talk about styling... Trying to be all things to all people BMW are dangerously dilluting the brand.

I wish the m8 would’ve come with a twin turbo v12 but it looks like the v8 suits it nicely.
