Nice video. I didn't see any mention abt requirement of translator during notar appointment?!. Also.. Just my experience...Few banks wanted us to speak German to get best interest rate.. My partner don't speak German..then he gave Power of attorney to me so that he entrusts in understanding.

ОтветитьVery good video. My family and I are moving from the US to Berlin in May. Initially for only two years. I was thinking that to pay rent for at least 24 months it will be at least 40K. And I was wondering if it would make more sense to get a loan with a low interest rate, no down payment, receive some of the government incentives for buying property, and rent it out after the two years for at least the mortgage value. Do you think this is possible or I am being too optimistic? Thank you

How do you get the apartment inspected ? Like checking how the heating system works or the flooring or how are the condition of walls ( history of schimmel ) etc.
This point was missing in video. But i believe its important one to decide on if we can proceed to buy the apartment.

3) If I buy an apartment, can I continue to choose living in a rental apartment and put my bought-apartment on rent for others?
4)Does buying/investing in property benefit in receiving a PR early? considering we are investing in the country/govt.
5) should I head to a bank or a notar to find a person who can hand-hold me through the whole process of buying?

I’m Australian and my partner is german and we plan to move back to Berlin next year and buy our first property.
We should have 20% saved by then of the apartment price we are aiming for for deposit/brokerage costs. Once my partner gets a job, do you think it’ll take much time for a bank to pre-approve a loan? (Eg he will have to work for 3 months before bank will approve a loan?)
Also, if we bought a place that is Vermietet, are we able to move in there if we intend on purchasing to occupy ourselves?
And lastly, if we alternatively purchase a place as an investment, is it still tax deductible if we rented the place out via Air Bnb or wunderflats?
