Was a Galaxy user until the iPhone 7 came out, and switched and have had an iPhone since. Finally decided to switch back from iPhones prison to the S23 ultra. Let me tell you, I could not be happier to be out of the phone matrix. Feels like a breath of fresh air, love being away from the norm and being my own person. Felt like I really only had the iPhone because everyone else did, and it made certain aspects of it easier. But it was time to get what I truly wanted and to be happy, loving the S23. The Camera is better in my opinion, the user interface is so much better and smoother. As well as being something different, then the same old boring iOS interface. So much more I can do with the Galaxy, google message is better then I message, and the customizable abilities are just so flawless. I feel a big shift coming in the near future, more people will come to Galaxy and android in general, and iPhone will be left in the past. I already know quite a few people who have switched, and others that want to, but are trapped in the everyone else has it mind. Moral of the story, be yourself and do what truly makes you happy.

What about the PWM issue of both devices also known as flickering? The display backlight flickers at 240 Hz of both devices. Most users will experience nauseous, dizzy, having eye strain, or headaches at the stated brightness setting and below especially in darkened rooms. Those phones can harm even burn your eyes! the most important thing is when you interrupt the animation. apple is doing way better at that and with touch interaction when things are moving on the screen. currently using a s22 ultra and really hope they can catch up. even mini does better I think.

I have the s22 ultra and I do switch over to ios back and forth back to samsung. Samsung/ android has come a long way to catch up with smoothness. But Samsung/android can never have the fancier animations like ios. It can be as fast but not as creative other wise it would have happened already

Animation speeds are programmed in the OS this is pointless this means nothing at all.

After 2-3 years, iPhone still runs smooth and quick as day one.

I love iPhones but the control Center is probably the one thing I hate about it. It’s been the same design for so long and it’s so clunky. Hopefully it gets redesigned this year

One thing I noticed is the S23 Ultra has a lot of PWM. I wonder how many people will be effected by this.

Lifelong iphone user here who went to the S22 ultra just because I could not find an iphone anywhere locally and they were backordered online and I needed a phone immediately. I fell in love with the Samsung but traded it in for a 14 Pro Max because my entire family is on iPhone. I exchanged it for an S23 Ultra 3 days later. I just couldn't stand it. Samsung is my happy place.

Samsung animations is faster while being smooth but iphone feels slower while having a bounce effect. Great job Samsung for catching up. This was one aspect that really affected Samsung

Realistically these are both awesome phones.

I have iPhone 14 pro max and s23 ultra. I love them both, they are just 2 different OS with a different approach.

You don’t even need to swipe on top for samsung plus you can delete the animation completely so it’s faster in dev mode

Even samsung beat to iPhone but when it comes to the marketing value iPhone is win the Samsung is going down that's the problem of android after a few months the value is fast to going down
