This is my favorite FF game. It's in my top 5 games. Which a lot of ppl more be against. FFX got a lot crap because of the dialog mostly. But for ppl my age, it was the game graphic and cut screens. Going from n64 to this was a leap that ppl dont understand at this point.

Hey Max don’t know if you’ve been looking into other FF games and their messaging, but if you need a huge well spring of philosophical story telling in games I HIGHLY recommend FFXIV.

They just concluded a 10 year long story arc which I would love to hear your thoughts on as far as the existential and philosophical themes go within it.

Greetings, I have watched your video and have learned a few things about Gnosticism. And with that, I have a request.
Just as you explore religious concepts in games, I do too. Except, I delve deeply to find how the Bible is used to craft the world and story.

I am still a small channel so, if you would please, watch some of my Final Fantasy X videos. (I even made a playlist.)
The goal is to answer questions like, "How ingrained is the Bible in this game?" And "If this is a Biblical game, why does it appear to many that it speaks against religion?"

a lot of good points. however, the way you go about explaining gnostic reasoning for their beliefs is wrong. it’s less about trying to settle a discrepancy between old vs new testament “God”, and much more really about looking at the actual words of the original, and lost texts, which point to there being multiple “God” entities present in genesis alone.

ffx is one of the best games ever

I wrote one of my high school English papers based on some of the plot points of FFX. My English teacher pulled me aside after class and told me my story was fascinating and that I should consider writing more. It was really encouraging but I also had to just laugh at myself like "Dude, come on. All I did was plagiarize a video game."

Gnosticism is like JRPG story MSG. They just sprinkle that shit in everywhere.

I don't think FFX actually has much to do with Gnosticism. Yes, it's got a false religion, and it's got aeons, but the similarities don't go deeper than that.

I was surprised you didn't mention Shin Megami Tensei as another series that uses the Demiurge /Yaldabouth concept. He's a very common final boss in a good number of games. Other than that, I loved this video!

Ffx will always be my favorite and first Final Fantasy I first played this in 3rd grade in 2003 and I think it's time to restart this amazing story.. Sadly we will never get another FF entry this rich in lore and this much world building this many religious ideas molded into Spira.. it really helped the world to feel living and breathing.. this game still holds up so well to this day :( I’d say I’d like to see an X-3 but at this point.. we’ve seen how sequels are being handled so I wouldn’t be expecting much

FFX was amazing. I remember playing and my PS broke right after the part when Yuna falls... it actually emotionally effected me for days wondering what became of her.

Better yet, the hardest secret superboss is Yu Yevon's insane final attempt at stopping your party and preserving his hold over Spira; and it's name is Penance

Cant wait for you to try the others in the series. 7, 8 and 9 are top tier, imo 9 is the best in the series.. but all are totally unique and amazing in their own right
