Not going to lie the funny part is this video is far too honestly true because in dark souls 2 you have a far more easier time making a 10 plus weapon or even getting a hold of a boss weapon very quickly compared to any of the other games because with dark souls 1 and 3 you got to go through some bosses and enemies if you want to make a 10 plus weapon

I have 22 vigor and it doesn't work

As someone who has only gotten as far as the Last Giant playing normally, I managed to do this in about 6 hours.
Only thing I did differently, was I killed the guys in black gulch normally, fighting them with the rapier, because I had no torches. Took a bit longer to farm the large titanite shards and titanite chunks, but oh well. It was actually quite easy since you can summon the NPCs each time to help you.

Shoot, I know this is 5 years late, but there's another single Titanite Shard in a chest, up the ladder in Maughlin's shop. You didn't include it in the video, it would've been your 6/6 at the end there

Man ds2 is way more annoying. In ds3 I would literally sell all this for pocket lint but ds2 got me running across the map.

great video, nice refresher. for those who are interested in getting +10 early and have no problem killing a boss or two along the way, killing najka then farming for chunks in doors of pharos is a much faster approach than going all the way to black gulch and you won't need to buy ring or boost vigor to 22
