Hi Gigi - thanks again for this valuable information. Finished my final round interview on Thursday. I did sooo much prep work and feel my experience is a strong fit for the role. I think I did well but my nerves are getting the best of me and I keep analyzing everything I said. Any tips for how to stay calm as you wait for your results?

The HR was the third party team for my team, she asked me in 2 principles each one two questions, I can’t get any clue if she liked my answers or not she was neutral, but for my it wasn’t the best interview I’ve performed at the panel.

Is this an indicator?

It has been 5 days now without a response and the status is still under consideration

I just had my two first loop interviews! The one with my hiring manager was GREAT and he even recognised me so. However, the interview with the bar raiser was more tricky and I believe It wasn't my best interview although I somehow did good. At the end of the interview the bar raiser literally told me that he will inform the Hiring Manager as he will decide. Does that mean in your experience that the bar raiser is not that sure about me fitting the company and relies on the Hiring Manager for the final decision?

Hello GG, what happens if I’ve used an example twice - one with bar raiser and the other with one of the other interviewers? Will this effect the decision?

Hello GG, I just finished my interview loop last Thursday for a new account manager (marketplace) position. I know that I aced 3/4 interviews (one which included a business case, in which my interviewer said I got the correct answer). The other interview didn’t go at all bad but i felt like I could’ve answered something better (id say that one went 7,5/10 it also included a sales pitch for which i studied a lot of data and demonstrated it).

I felt good afterwards and its been only 2 business days. Do you think i have good chances?

Pd: my previous work experience aligns really well with what I would be doing. Im just nervous nevertheless cause you never know

Hi Gigi. Thanks for your videos. I have been binge watching them for the last couple of weeks (partly out of stress and anxiety 😅).

I have completed the loop interviews and expecting the final verdict. I have <2 yrs experience and applied for the SDE1 role. I had total of 5 interviews. The first 3 went good. I aced those LPs and did all the Codes in the expected optimal way. Hiring manager round was one of those 3 rounds and it went pretty good.
The last 2 had one BR round (all coding and no LP) and one coding+LP round. Quite frankly, they went brutal. Not good. Codes were much more difficult than those of the previous rounds.
So my question is, are they more likely to put more weightage on my LPs than code? Or is failing the last few coding rounds a dealbreaker to say No Hire?
Please feel free to shut me down if you feel my question is stupid 😅

I had a few external people shadow the onsite interviews I have been on but even though I asked they didn't specify an existence of a bar raiser. Which was bizarre. Out of my 4 onsite interviews I aced 3 of them, coding challenges completed, behavioral questions answered above and beyond satisfactory level and the only one that went bad (pretty bad) was with a 6 month experienced amazonian that critically lacked the abilities of an interviewer.

I'm at a loss as to what to expect and it kills me inside that one inexperienced recruiter can ultimately be the reason i'll be rejected

This is an amazing content, thanks! I'm actually making it to the loop coming up for a Marketing manager role. I'm wondering if it's possible, that because I'm relatively new in my career (<2 years in one company), I don't have a lot of examples, and 3-5 killer ones that I repeatly use, because I think they are so much stronger, than coming up with a new STAR answer, that is much weaker, simply for the 'fresh answer' perspective. Would love to consult you how do you think of that in the reviewing process, for prospects with not extensive experiences?

Hi, GG very helpful content. I have my final interviews next week. I have a question. The phone screen ( obviously I just passed) interviewer is a team member of the hiring manager ( I found out when I asked him the questions at the end), I assume he will not be one of the 5 people who will do my interviews. Will he be at the final panel that will decide I will be hired or not? One of the reasons why I ask this is the two stories/examples I shared with him were quite strong, can I repeat them in the final interviews? Does his opinion and data count at the final decision? Thank you!

Hi GG! Thank you so much for your content, I find it really helpful as I am preparing for the interviews with Amazon. I got a phone interview with a recruiter. They asked me some general questions (nothing LP-related) - about myself, relevant work experience, why amazon, probably testing my English skills as well as I am not a native English speaker etc. Now I have received an email to schedule 3 more interviews. The recruiter mentioned they will be with my hiring manager and probably 2 members of my team. Do you think a Bar Raiser might be one of them? The position I have applied for is Amazon Vendor Services Consultant.

In what scenario and why would the
Hiring manager not want to hire you and the bar raiser would ?
Assuming that the first or second interview was with the Hiring manager and based on their feedback the candidate progress to the panel interviews.

Can you share a time when a bar raiser would Vito when the hiring manager really wants to hire someone? What about the other way around? What are the red signs or qualities of those candidates? (I’ve heard the results could feel a little arbitrary at times, and just want to do my best to avoid making critical mistakes)

Hi Gigi, thank you for creating these videos, super helpful to gain perspectives from the lens of an Amazon interviewer and a bar raiser to top it :) Wanted to ask you a question which always comes to my mind while preparing - Is it a dealbreaker (for hire or no-hire decision) if the candidate does not have past experience stories which are at the level of the work being done at Amazon. Even though the candidate has the knowledge to back up his/her experience and answer all the supporting questions from the interviewer. Basically, are Amazon interviewers looking for over the top past experiences only?
