There is a design flaw in the shoes, two of them actually. First, the heel slightly bells out toward the bottom, which is good, it adds stability. But the platform in the front also needed to, and that would prevent the ankle from turning. Though the latex contributed to it, these shoes would have caused a fall anyway. The second flaw is that satin is slippery and doesn’t provide the hold that say, velvet or suede would.

the blue croc is wonderful. howev. they have NO ankle support. that does help. trust. 😂🎉🎉🎉

I don't own anything from Westwood's actual line, but she did a collaboration with the shoe company Melissa and I owe a pair of them. They are my favourite pair of shoes ... 😊

While the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz are undoubtedly iconic, I do believe the Naomi platforms have overtaken them in fame. With the advent of social media, this moment in pop culture has gone extremely viral in recent years. I'd argue that these days, more people would know about the Naomi incident than references to clicking your heels together three times.

It’s not possible to walk in those shoes. The problem isn’t the height, but the fact that’s it’s poorly made. They are uneven and don’t look STABLE BEFORE you even get into them. I’m surprised Naomi was able to stand in them much less walk in them. They could have been made more stable by making the front base WIDER with an EVEN base.
