The youngsters probably don’t even know about the ruby slippers.
ОтветитьFamous silly shoes. How about the ruby slippers from OZ or boots of Astronauts?
ОтветитьAre they the only pair?
ОтветитьShe didn't fall because of the shoes. She fell because she was wearing latex thigh highs, and her knees stuck together.
ОтветитьPlatform shoes were first worn by actors in Ancient Greece, specifically at the Epidaurus theater. They were called "kothornoi"
ОтветитьMy mother was walking furs in Copenhagen in the 60's, she did as an extra income because they didn't make much money. She taught me to walk heels when I was 15 and also taught me, to put the weight on the front of my feet. ( I had to walk around with books on my head too) I still think the Nova Shoes are the most fantastic shoe art.
ОтветитьJust saw my local drag queen using looks alike yesterday
ОтветитьThere is a design flaw in the shoes, two of them actually. First, the heel slightly bells out toward the bottom, which is good, it adds stability. But the platform in the front also needed to, and that would prevent the ankle from turning. Though the latex contributed to it, these shoes would have caused a fall anyway. The second flaw is that satin is slippery and doesn’t provide the hold that say, velvet or suede would.
Ответитьthe blue croc is wonderful. howev. they have NO ankle support. that does help. trust. 😂🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьI don't own anything from Westwood's actual line, but she did a collaboration with the shoe company Melissa and I owe a pair of them. They are my favourite pair of shoes ... 😊
ОтветитьWhy thst atrocious back ground music !!!
Ответитьruby slippers trumps these i think
ОтветитьKeep Kim away from these!
ОтветитьDo you really think are the most famous shoes in the world? For me are the McQueen armadillo ones.
ОтветитьI think the Ruby Slippers from “The Wizard of Oz” are the most famous shoes. IMO of course.
Ответитьyeah sure, famous. but its hideous! ugh 😩
ОтветитьMy favorite moment of these shoes is a picture of Naomi and Vivienne sharing a hug as Vivienne lifts Naomi’s leg almost to her shoulder I think about it all the time lol
ОтветитьNo the most famous are the spice girl shoes
ОтветитьNot even close by a million shoes, the most famous shoes are from: The wizard of Oz
ОтветитьI literally gasped when I saw Naomi’s name scribbled inside.
ОтветитьWhile the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz are undoubtedly iconic, I do believe the Naomi platforms have overtaken them in fame. With the advent of social media, this moment in pop culture has gone extremely viral in recent years. I'd argue that these days, more people would know about the Naomi incident than references to clicking your heels together three times.
ОтветитьI feel like the most famous shoes r the snake shoes that lady gaga wore or the one in the red riding hood
ОтветитьThe most famous shoes in the world? Hardly. Not even top 5. The Ruby Slippers from The Wizard of Oz are definitely MOST famous among several others.
Ответитьi think the most famous shoes are the ruby slippers from the wizard of oz or cinderella’s glass slippers tbh
ОтветитьFascinating object and interesting story. But I'm very curious why not to mention actors from Ancient Greece or other, maybe not white, cultures, when talking about platform footwear. They go way earlier than you inform your viewers.
ОтветитьNeed Gaga in them
ОтветитьWait a minute how are you an expert on textiles and fashion and all this and you don't even know how to hold the tape measure correctly
ОтветитьIf you weren't talking like you had a frog in your throat and running out of breath. I would have watched the entire video. But you choose to talk like trendy Kardashian wannabe! NOBODY WAS TAUGHT TO TALK LIKE THAT! you chose to talk like THAT! It's annoying
ОтветитьGood lord! She walked in those…..
ОтветитьShe fell because her tights created friction and her legs were sort of stuck together. She happened to be wearing the shoes.
ОтветитьThank you so much from South Africa! 🇿🇦
ОтветитьYeah I think the most famous shoes might be the Ruby Slippers on the Wizard of Oz
Ответить"The most famous shoes in the world" Please, just stop this rubbish. Judy Garland's ruby slippers are the most famous shoes, these wouldn't even make the top ten. Even Billy Connolly's banana shoes are more famous.
ОтветитьMy ankles snapped just watching this
ОтветитьDorothy’s shoes are the most famous to me
ОтветитьMost famous shoes in the world? What about Dorothy's Ruby Slippers?
ОтветитьPretty sure the most famous shoes on earth are the ruby slippers from WOZ. Plus, didn’t Austin Powers wear those in Goldmember
ОтветитьDefinitely not the most famous shoes in the world
ОтветитьHow are they the most amazing shoes there ugly
ОтветитьNo one rembers that at all
ОтветитьPersonally I think the alligators/crocodile they are made of were far more valuable than those ridiculous shoes
ОтветитьExcellent & informative clip. Iconic shoes, designer, model & fashion moment.
ОтветитьIt’s not possible to walk in those shoes. The problem isn’t the height, but the fact that’s it’s poorly made. They are uneven and don’t look STABLE BEFORE you even get into them. I’m surprised Naomi was able to stand in them much less walk in them. They could have been made more stable by making the front base WIDER with an EVEN base.
ОтветитьMost famous shoes? Not even close to Dorothy's ruby slippers.
ОтветитьFascinating. You explain why you wear gloves. But as you speak over them surely you are spraying saliva which is corrosive, at least to food.
ОтветитьThis shoes look like something Ginger Spice would’ve worn in the nineties.
