PSA: UUPDump have been seeing an increase in traffic since Windows 11's launch, and this video will probably make that much worse. Please be patient if we "hug of death" the site. -AY
ОтветитьIm not interested in windows 11
ОтветитьI have 11 on a celeron and a 32 gb laptop
ОтветитьDownvoted for annoying thumbnail. I won't even watch the video.
ОтветитьMy PC I have now I built 3 years ago and I had no idea it had TPM, I guess I never looked in the bios, I watched this video when it came out so I assumed I would have needed to buy one of those little things. I found out today when looking in my bios for something else that I could enable TPM lol but the other day I bought a surface pro 4 and was kinda shocked to see that it didn't support upgrading to Windows 11, it's not even that old, it was even younger when W11 came out... (6 years old).
Ответить2 years later, still no support for 7th Gen Intel processor:(
ОтветитьAlternate title: how to pirate windows
ОтветитьDude my PC won’t let me run secure boot idk what’s wrong with it
ОтветитьI recently (9/8/23) decided to I wanted to break out my ThinkPad W520, bought in 2010 and running Windows 7. Missed the Windows10 upgrade window, and the Windows11 upgrade from Windows10 so bought a flash drive direct from Microsoft with Windows11 Home. Used the LabConfig regedit as described, and was able to install with no issues! 👌 Internet connection was required at the end, though I was fine with this and did not try to bypass. Microsoft Account is bypassable by entering invalid email and password. You’ll then be prompted to create a local account. Seriously works like a charm and OS runs well. Thank you Linus for your Tech Tips!
ОтветитьYou are amazing.
Ответить哈哈哈,core 2 duo
ОтветитьWhat if my Windows 10 ISO has no install.wim but istall.esd
Ответитьlmao, one of my pc's has a core 2 duo
Ответитьsince I don't have a TPM or a valid CPU, I bypassed Windows 11 on my Laptop. Sadly, any app from Microsoft/Microsoft Store didn't work, so I switched back to Windows 10.
ОтветитьIf you play csgo dont install windows 11. Antimalware service executable does 3 things. It A. runs non stop for 12 hours if you let it, eating more power than it should. If you have an ssd it renders it useless and you will not longer have an immediately accessible desktop just like an HDD. It also runs very poorly and as it scans it can corrupt files. Windows and gates made it impossible to disable this do nothing service (well lets correct that it feeds your data back to gates without your consent). I have no reason to ever purchase a windows machine again. Ill throw a simple emulator to run steam and google does a fair job of replacing excel and word. the only reason microsoft is even still around is because of its illegal monopoly on the market of PCs. Has to be one of the worst companies in history.
ОтветитьWell, seems like there are so many hoops to skip trying to force install W11 on an unsupported PC. For now, I think I'll most probably stick with W10 and hope that W12 will be mercyful enough to old PC builds... 😅😅
Ответитьso - I can install windows 11 without TPM and Secure boot from an external usb to boot. it works completely fine no warnings even in settings so I don't know if Microsoft have changed something but yeah-
ОтветитьRLY not mater for me i just stick with win 10 until network and steam stop work, when that happend. My only OS will be linux… Problem solved.
ОтветитьLol, when I transferred my 2 daughters' drives over the years of different builds I forgot to convert to GPT from MBR, but realized quickly when trying to boot into 11...silly mistake, and I've been building for YEARS.
ОтветитьHow can I install Windows 11 if my only obstacle is my CPU gen? According to pc health check all are in the green except for my CPU. My Star Wars Edition laptop apparently supports TPM 2.0 and secure boot. I don't want to use the 3rd party work arounds. Microsoft released instructions on how to upgrade using unsupported hardware, but I can't find the right named key in my registry.
Ответитьyou can also disable tpmcheck and cpu check via cmd prompt and regedit during installation
ОтветитьLinus, I wanted to make cool art, but wow, the computer needed for what I wanted to do was really expensive, and I didn't like upgrading computer every few years.
Finally I found you and started studying building my own and through the years built a really good system that works well for my needs and has had a few upgrades through the years. Thank you. It's been fun watching you grow up these last half-dozen years.
Oh, my B550 Unify-X has to get 'smart boot' enabled. I'll be looking at it.
How about the CPU requirements? I have a i7-7700K and that is the culprit.
Ответитьmy PC is like 12 years old so about like 2013, but I use Windows 11 Pro like usual people
ОтветитьNothing prevents us to install Linux
ОтветитьLooooooooooL 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьTiny11
ОтветитьI thought they only did it to improve there sales of surface and new pcs.
ОтветитьI instslled it in a 6 generation and it run slow.
ОтветитьIm kind of shocked I managed to install Windows 11 on an old office computer that I found with an unsupported CPU (i5-6400) without even trying or looking this up lol
ОтветитьTryed with a i7700HQ only issue I had is my fans were running faster so I had to switch back to 10
ОтветитьWith all that knowledge give, I cant do a thing, i missed the other classes.
Ответитьpro>>home
Ответитьwish i found this video when i had to do it. to do mbr2gpt i had to do it the long way by typing in each command manually ugh
ОтветитьStill works and is way easier now.
Ответитьmy windows security is not workin after doing this
wht to do
with the future integration of AI and microsoft making it harder and harder to bypass their data collection and telemetry, i am sticking to windows 10 with winaero tweaker and classic shell. I refuse to EVER downgrade to windows 11.
ОтветитьFun fact: The Dell E5570 (which is a 6th gen Intel) runs really smoothly on Win11. It caught me off guard just how much better it ran -- and all with the generic install drivers. I will never go back to Win10 on that laptop.
ОтветитьThe hardware manufacturers are all on board with making stuff obsolete. Its good for profits and they can just blame the evil empire for it.
Ответитьi got a new pc anyway because mine broke
Ответить👍
Ответитьi using win 11 with a pentinium processor
ОтветитьOh mate please wear the cap the right way around it looks so dicky. Good video though all the same and yes I am running Windows 11Pro on my older Ivy Bridge machine but how do you find the key for the Bitlocker feature?? By the way it has been running 11 Pro since the official release of 11😄
Ответитьi just noticed the pc in the thumbnail was also in the pc build guide thumbnail
ОтветитьI would extract everything from the ISO into a 5GB partition on my SSD and make that partition bootable using a tool called EasyBCD. From there on, I don't need another thumb drive!
I also throw in an unattended answer file to install my genuine PK on the spot and skip the OOBE!
I updated secure boot on my dad's PC, but it doesn't look like it has TPM... Need to check again...
This video will be very useful when the w10 apocalypse comes around
