I remember when they increased the height to 256. I was actually very disappointed that it wasn’t split evenly between above and below sea level. I had been wanting deeper caves for a long time – so much so that around 1.8 I just quit playing because they kept adding all this fluff but never improved the mining in MINE CRAFT.

Once caves & cliffs was released, I logged back in and started a new world. I really need to get busy on building a proper home so I can move out of my 4x4x3 box on the beach lol

Why didnt they move 0 to where -64 is then put the max to 360 or 364

The Nether doesn’t need an increase in height, imo. It’s already plenty annoying and dangerous and overwhelming as it is. 128 is PLENTY. Some more features like a cave update, sure maybe, but not height

Instead of more build height, I say we need a Space Dimension and the ability to build rockets and find new worlds.

I remember a long time ago om console edition I'm creative mode I could somehow go outside the 256×256 world border but only by a few blocks, but out there I could go around the fly height limit and basically stand on top of the sky and walk around above the clouds

It's not just the size of the world that matters... You can have the biggest world and still have nothing fun to do in it. Not saying Minecraft doesn't have anything fun I'm just throwing that idea out there and different people different preferences.

You should have repeated the hight limit evolution because over the video I forgot it. It would have been nice to see it another time.

For how much complaining some people do about missing the warden and slimes, this was an impressive update.

In reference to the reality vs magic video unless we want to add floating islands and castles I don't see a need to increase the height limit any more. Not unless we want more caves below and therefore the negative Y could go down but really I don't see a need for that as well.

Still hate bedrock have the 128 limit on bedrock instead of 256. Still fricken sucks

I don't think more height is necessary unless Mojang decides to take Minecraft in a different direction, or more palletable to fans, a reimagining as some sort of expansion. I would love the classic idea of aether-overworld-nether, and/or a "verticality" world type that rewards you in some way for doing things at various levels.

Tecnically I think that at the current state in the art you can make a datapack to go up to positive and negative 4096. They did notnmake vanilla generation higher and deeper than now for performance reasons for lower end pcs

I think Ant Venom did a video a while ago saying that if you modify the files in game you would be able to raise the height limit to 5000 something blocks! Although you would probably need the world's strongest computer and more to use all of it but you can!

I think they could just have a whole update fixing and updating small things in the game (like adding some Java feature in Bedrock) and don't even need to add more things.

im amazed that they still managed to increase the build limit.

it was possible to break the height limit on console edition with ender pearls. of course you couldn't build or anything, your character would just go to crazy coordinate heights

Creative mode elytra is the most satisfying thing ever. Flying while gliding is just... amazing.

1.18 hasn't even been out long but I'm already getting annoyed by the limited height limit again

The world doesn't necessarily have to be limited to 384 blocks tall either. On Java, since 1.17 you can use a data pack to change the limit and you can go into the thousands of blocks, though that might be a thing only Linux users would be able to run

Excuse me how is toycat suddenly rising up with elytra???? I know this bug but holy is it a pc thing because if i tap too much with elytra I would stop flying

There is a mod called cubic chunks that makes the chunks cubes so you can go up to 2^32 it requires a very powerful computer but once computers are powerful enough I imagine Minecraft will go in this direction
