It doesn't have a manual. What modes is stabilization available? 1080p 30 fps?

If I’m using an open face helmet, how do I get sound of the bike without wind noise? Is it easier to plug in the external mic ? I’m not worried about my voice being heard, just want bike sound without wind, any suggestions?

Heb hem ook besteld de ghost drift xl pro.
Dit nadat ik eerst de 4k+ heb gehad, een prima camera en perfect beeld.
Maar helaas na 3 keer filmen was hij stuk.
Kan hem niet meer aan krijgen en dus ook niet de update installeren waar de firma mee kwam.
Ook de meegeleverde batterij was van zeer slechte kwaliteit was in een mum van tijd leeg en ging zeker niet de tijd mee die drift aangeeft.
Hopelijk heb ik meer geluk met de xl pro.
Vind het een makkelijke camera en heb ook gelijk de remote control mee besteld

Goedemorgen, what will be the best settings for the microphone? Have at at 2 now but most of the time there's no sound at all....When using it as a car dashcam there is sound, weird he?

Wouldn’t it be easier to mount on left side of helmet so you can use your non throttle hand on the left to push the buttons then to try crossing your left arm around to your right side of helmet to push them? I was just wondering.

I understand that Event Protection will record if theres a punch or sudden stop. Can I manually trigger and save the event by pressing some buttons? On the Ghost XL

Seems as though I have to upgrade. I currently have the 4k+ but this xl pro's video is great!

How on EARTH do I get the timestamp to show? When I watch my footage back it's missing even though I have it turned on. It's driving me nuts

Shame it can't pick up number plates clearly even when you are literally a metre or less from it

Does anyone know why my XL pro doesn't record past about 15 mins? I bought a class 10 SanDisk 64 SD card.

How long does the battery last in 4k ?

Great footage during the day, but goes downhill during the night. But for the price, it gets the job done.

After 9 months my DGX just stopped. I did the usual stuff to try and get it started and contacted customer services. No joy there .
I then bought the DG XLPro and that wouldn't even charge up or turn on !

It looks terrible!

Does this camera have standard 1/4 inch thread ? Want to know if we can use other standard camera mounts.

Hi there, have you tried a different position/angle besides your helmet? I have a bicycle and I’m wondering if the quality or stabilization will be good if it’s on my bike handlebars or seatpost.

MotoSnax can you get all fps in the 140 degree angle or have drift croped it like they did in the DRIFT 4K one?

The FOV is to narrow in today's market. 170 should be minimum.

It would have been nice to know what you were filming in - 4K or 1080? What was your frames per second? What was field of view setting?It might have been a useful video if you showed different results.

Well DRIFT messed up again, I am glad to see the stabilization finally!! Yes, it is needed on any bikes that are ridden off road. They still have the microphone plug on the bottom of the camera, so it gets destroyed by your shoulder when riding off road. On the Drift Ghost X they finally came out wit a 90 degree connector so its much better, but not perfect. On my last ride through Death Valley my new jacket managed to unplug the 90 degree connector 4 or 5 times, causing me to loose my audio, I finally secured it with electrical tape. My Ghost XL microphone plug screws into the bottom of the camera, so you have no other options for another external microphone. The straight hanging microphone connector usually last about a month then the wires bend & flex enough from hitting your shoulder that they short out. I have resorted to mounting the drift cameras upside down on the other side of the helmet so the connectors face up and don't impact your shoulder. I'm on my 5th or 6th Drift X camera and I have one Drift XL that I rarely use because the sound quality is so poor and gets distorted easily no matter what setting I use. I prefer the Drift X replaceable batteries over the built in ones. Yes you can charge them on the go if your a street biker and just sitting there but if you are off roading moving around on the bike it is impossible. Drift Bley it again with this camera. I recently switched to DJI cameras. I'm tired of fighting the broken cameras and stupid design flaws of the mic jack.

Thanks for this review. I have been using Drift cameras since they released Original Ghost. And it still works great today. I like the build quality, but I'm not a fan of not being able to change batteries on the go.
